My last day in Arches was when I finished up the last viewpoints and short trails that I didn't get to on day one. These massive arches and panoramic views are perfect for a short visit to the park or for those that aren't able to complete one of the longer hikes in my last video.
After saying goodbye to Arches, we head to Goblin Valley State Park. This small park is well worth the side trip on the way to Capitol Reef. The small hoodoos look like little mischievous figures with pointy hats. This was the perfect place to stretch my legs on the long drive and see some cool rock structures at the same time.
Places in this video:
- Arches National Park
- Salt Valley Overlook
- Delicate Arch Lower and Upper Viewpoints
- Balanced Rock
- Petrified Dunes Viewpoint
- Ken's Lake Campground
- The Windows Trail
- North Window
- Turret Arch
- South Window
- Double Arch
- Park Ave Viewpoint
- Goblin Valley State Park
I hope you enjoyed today's adventure. In the next one, we're checking out Capitol Reef National Park and we'll be halfway through our Mighty Five road trip!
Thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next video.
Happy adventuring,
A

Duolingo is the best! I want to be fluent in Spanish so badly and I'm around 10% of the way there 😅 That's so awesome to hear! Early congrats on your retirement and what sounds like an amazing trip! 🎉 What are your top choices right now for where you'd like to go? :)

Whooo hooo!!! Easy hikes for those of us who can't breathe or handle huge elevation gains. 😂I'm definitely saving this since I'm hoping to go car camping in Utah next month. Did you purchase a national or Utah state parks pass or pay the entry fee for access to each stop?

Thanks, Roxanne! The easy hikes are awesome in Arches. I couldn't believe they were almost completely empty when I visited too! No fighting the crowds 😂 I used the National Parks pass for all my travels :) Since I try to get out to the parks several times a year, it makes a lot of sense financially! It covers so many parks and trailheads I visit. Can't wait to hear more about your Utah camping trip!!

@@AprilAdventuring I've never purchased the national pass but would love to do so this year or next. My deal is that I can't buy it unless I actually use it. I'm getting plenty of use out of my CO state parks pass this year, though! Hopefully, Utah will still be as empty when I visit in a few weeks! I'm not a fan of crowds. 🙃
