We compare the graphics of FIFA 17 Demo with the retail version of Pro Evolution Soccer PES 2017 both on PS4. Since the FIFA 17 Demo is limited, we can't show identical stadiums, rainy weather etc. - we will do that as soon as we get hands on the retail version of FIFA 17.

Why are you so biased with this video? PES clearly has much better graphics why use a shitty unknown stadium and unlicensed teams to make PES look bad! Especially those faces you picked, you could have picked De Gea for example, but no let's use the scanned ones from FIFA and use the worse from PES faces. Next time show the Barcalona from both games. Or for once have fair comparisons. You used better angles for FIFA too. Stupid fanboy.

Qthetar We are NOT biased in any way.Of course we would love to compare the exact same stadium, but it is NOT POSSIBLE, since the FIFA DEMO IS LIMITED. We are NOT biased there and it surely is NOT about licences her, but about visuals. And PES 2017 just looks fantastic. If you would have read the video description, you maybe would have understood, that we are limited on this video. We will do another video as soon as the FIFA 17 retails version is out to compare licensed teams, national teams and same stadiums of course!

Animations: PES (for all those commentators: FIFA might have the better animations in terms of fidelity but what I mostly noticed are the extremely jarring transitions in the short clip of this video while PES looked to be more homogen in between different animations. Please calm down) Visuals: FIFA and yet both don't look up to date.

And i dont understand with pes, why pes give different graphic when it get closer shoot camera(scene like goal injurie etc) with the far camera from the stadion, but in fifa its same all of them. I already played all of pes . And i try first time fifa 14 and until now fifa 17, who say fifa gameplay are suck? I played it and fifa is never make you bored to play dude, even you play all of day. i played all of them, its weird for a 3 day, but next u can get the joy, and you will feel that fifa is better than pes.

Not a baby but it does seem like PES is trying to make everyone look a few years younger. PES Buffon looks nicer and younger for a fact but FIFA's Buffon is more grizzled and reflects his age. I dunno to each their own. I'll always play FIFA I like it when my game has the license to actually use the real name's of the teams, and other brands. lmao.

In PES you can literally get round all of the players just by zag-zagging, direction changes are too quick to be realisticimo. And also through balls get through the defence 90% of the time while the defenders just sit there and pick their arses. Also goalkeepers feel like their oxygen got replaced with helium.

Does the grass in FIFA 17 demo look like a carpet to anyone else? In the video there are individual blades of grass but they are not visible on my PC. All settings are on Ultra and max and still the grass is more like a flat green carpet. Any solutions?

gotta admit. fifa17 is better than pes17 this year by miles. - graphics improved in fifa17 drastically - they almost perfected passing which makes less error now - frostbite engine helped them to display realistic sweats - players have better hairs in general - the only downside is pc gamers, cause the game is not too well optimized but oh well who cares about the low end pc gamers anyways. so yeah

the game requires 4 core now. fifa16 only used 2 core, my game was smooth for fifa16 but not anymore. again, no one cares about low end pc users anyways so why bother haha. have fun with the game

Night lighting on the pitch looks more realistic in PES. In FIFA it's too dark (again).Is it me or are the proportions way off at 3:15? Looks like he's playing with a mini ball. In PES it looks better.

The animations in the first scene look really weird in Fifa 17, the players just immediately change their animation scheme and after the goal all enemy players just stand still. In PES they have a more natural animation style

I am a Fifa fan and have been playing since Fifa 2007. However, had an early chance to put my hands on PES 17 Demo, as it came earlier than Fifa 17, which came out just has been two days now. It is deduced and only my personal opinion that Fifa 17 game play animation is more realistic than PES 17. By contrast, goal celebrations action replays and highlights of PES 17, although I do agree with others are more like latex and shiny, but has stolen the show, the Camp Nau visuals in the background look amazing and more real. But additions like glimpse of club managers and Alex Hunter mode is a new addiction to Fifa, with new fifa engine graphics you have been left with no option but opt for that.

las cifras hablan, FIFA es mucho mejor que PES, y es que seamos realistas, dejando de lado los graficos y como se visualizan ambos... algo que a mi criterio pesa de igual o mayor manera que los graficos, son las licencias de jugadores y equipos. de nuevo año de FIFA

I've been a FIFA fan for quite some time, but I've got to admit: PES 2017 is better than this new FIFA (at least the demo), FIFA is very superior on only some things: The online game modes, (FUT is way better than MyClub) the player Career (ML is still good tho') and of course, the licenses (I don't blame Konami for that, nothing that a PATCH cant solve) I've decided to give PES a try after the great scores on Metacritic and I don't regret it. I would reccomend you to do the same.

Not the fairest comparison to use only PES sides which are unlicensed, or without a good option file loaded. It implicitly biases the viewer into thinking PES looks second-grade. Also, why not compare teams which have been face-scanned? Obviously Rooney and Martial are gonna look nicer on FIFA. What about Messi, Neymar, Giroud? Etc. Pitch colour-wise, I feel both have it wrong: PES too pale, Fifa too deep. Pitch texture-wise, FIFA's is a bit nicer. Cut scenes of players, I much prefer PES. Lighting on in-game models, prefer FIFA. So a very mixed bag.

They are comparingthose teams because they are the teams that are in the FIFA 17 DEMO. There's only a few teams to choose from. Also base FIFA 17 vs PES 2017 with USER CONTENT isn't a fair comparison. You should only compare what the developers have to offer, not developer vs developer + community.

Right, the teams that are in the demo. Do you think it's coincidental that, e.g., Bayern and United are in the demo, and Barca isn't? It's an obvious tit-for-tat move by EA. As for USER CONTENT (spurious caps) -- it's not clear why they "should" forgo comparisons with that. There's a good argument why it's better to use the user content: (a) it's freely available, (b) it's encouraged by Konami, (c) it's easy to implement, (d) it doesn't risk implicitly biasing against one product. This is not a difficult series of reasons to grasp. Maybe I should put some of them in caps.

janguv88 How is it a tit-for-tat move by EA that Barca aren't in the demo? Konami have a sponsorship deal with them now. It's no coincidence that EA chose the teams that they did. And for the user content, it is only fair to compare what the developers have to offer, doesn't matter if the developer encourages it or not.

played both demos in playstation 4, fifa is by far the winner this year. better graphics, better gameplay than pes. also you can have a game with a faster pace than pes. even if you ignore graphics, pes is very slow and lacks a lot of things . fifa is a complete game. more controllable players with good movement and an enjoyable gameplay. pes animations are so silly, that seems to be a game for old gen consoles compared to fifa. pes 5 (12y ago) was the best pes. fifa 98 (18y ago) rtwc was the best football game i ever played!!!

I really love FIFA but FIFA got one problem,''animation'', i don't know if EA programmers or designers or animators have a chance to play PES or listen to the comments from ppl, or if they really noticed that mistake...please check when Bale scores, and then he runs away full of excitement to celebrate and not wanting a teammate to touch him(i think ronaldo), he pushed him away, you can see that they don't touch each other, there is a resisting force and gap that does not allow them to touch each other, he pushed him away but he does not touch him,...EA has this problem longtime ago where players don't have flexible animation, since fifa 97, when a player is runnign and wants to shoot the ball, the transition between legs running and switching to shooting was a little bit weird, some frames were skipped, player stucks on one frame, slips on it for about 2 seconds and the jumps to the next frame...i think EA needs to look at PES and try to improve the animation, and KONAMI since longtime it got its animation well done, since ISS PRO 98, i was impressed to play that game while being FIFA's fun, and having FIFA99 on PSX.

they look extremely similar, but if i were to compare them. fifa has better colors and better lighting, where as PES has more details such as sweat. which makes the game look better than it actually does.

Why, PES's gameplay is far better than FIFA's, FIFA has a lot of resources and they made a game that fight with another with 100x less budget, please understand what is football EA, make a simulator or this will be a NBA Live, Konami tries but people doesn't buy his game because of the licenses, there's nothing to do with that, more money gets licenses, except for Iceland...

I play both so I won't be biased, but I'm pretty sure you have to be a blind PES fan boy to think the graphics are better.I feel as if PES isn't trying anymore and FIFA seem to be pulling away from them just as the gap between them was closing. This is just my opinion so no PES fanboy should hate.

It's there. If you try using it at the START of a game, then that's probably why it's not popping up. Just wait around the 5 minute mark in the game then you can press it to open.

to be real, this year fifa did their job. Something just seems wrong with pes this year when im watching it, and fifa seems smoother and much more better in terms of graphic than the last fifa. I always picked pes but this year goes to fifa.

In pes player faces are some what good.. But while playing we will feel that we are playing the vedio game.. But in fifa it looks like real match and easy to do skills.. Fifa is the best bcuz it has online and Carrer mode
