I possibly might have made a mistake in here somewhere. I should have said Ana missed 4 appointments to have her next shot, not that she missed 4 shots. I really don't want to have to go back and check and the math still doesn't add up as she should have been covered by the first one for at least another week.

@ValD98
@ValD98 5 лет назад
@@karolam682 Rape in marriage is still legal when it comes to women raping men. Also, it was never legal to forcibly and violently fuck your wife, it was just covered under abuse charges. (Everything else covered by marital rape laws amounts to women being annoyed they have to fuck their husbands when they're not in the mood) This is because the point of marriage was to fuck and have kids, which is why impotence was considered a good reason to nullify a marriage contract. Besides that, a man marries a woman for sex, a woman marries a man for money. Women can file legal action against their husband if they don't financially support them. Also, you not giving them 600$ for shoes is considered financial abuse. Let that sink in.

The bikini thing reminded me of a story my father told. Many years ago (1960s), dad was stationed in Malta with the RAF. One day a group of them, including a young woman in a bikini, went to the beach. A policeman came up and told her that only one-piece bathing suits were acceptable. She apologised... and asked him which part of her bikini he would prefer that she remove. Apparently he backed down.

24:30 "SHE WROTE ANOTHER BOOK?!" Oh, Dom, you poor dear. Not only did she "re-write" the first two Fifty Shades books from Christian's POV, but she's also released a new, unrelated book. It's called "The Mister" and it's about an Albanian girl being forced to be a housekeeper/sex slave for a drug-addicted English aristocrat. Y'know, just in case you thought you didn't hate her enough; you can now also hate her for romanticising the sex trafficking of poor migrant workers. Yes, I heartily wish I was making this shit up.

Apologies for any weird sentences but I'm French and I don't speak English fluently. Thank you very much for handling this book the way you do. I'm a rape survivor, which is hard enough to live with as it is, but then I see that this kind of literature is a best seller, and made into a film, and that people from my own family are seeing and reading it and saying how damn romantic and hot it is. It's like everyone is spitting in the face of every abuse and rape victim because look, they're having sex! I have two triggers, two very real things that have caused me panic attacks bad enough to make me unconscious. When people use it to make fun of others or to describe their own reaction to something that merely bothers them, it makes me feel ashamed. But in your series, not only do you remind people how terrible and insulting those books are, in a polite and logical way, but you also take care of your audience (we see this, thank you) and educate others on their misunderstandings. So thank you, truly, and I'll keep on being a faithful watcher of your show for however long it will keep on lasting.

Dear Mako First of all, great English. Second of all, that is absolutely horrible to hear that you have gone through something that NO-ONE should ever have to go through and that is one of the worst crimes anyone can do to another human being. You are courageous to talk about what happened, silence only protects the criminals doing the horrible acts. I don't know you, but I wish you all the strength in the world and I wish there will be a day when you don't have to feel ashamed, because you shouldn't. Some people are evil and they do not ask permission to be that, that's why this world is such a dangerous place. Overall this whole 50 Shades of Bullshit is a horrible franchise and I hate it. The worst thing about is that it may give ideas to stupid people, who don't realize they are hurting themselves. I'm so glad that THE DOM decided to do these videos to educate people. He is indeed such a smart man.

Like deathknight said, the misuse of the word 'triggered' isn't so much from people referring to themselves being 'triggered' (though that does happen occasionally), but by arseholes who insist that others are 'triggered' in order to stigmatise and de-legitimise them. Furthermore, the culture that's led to people occasionally using the word 'triggered' to describe their own mild offence was brought about by aforementioned arseholes misusing the word so much that some people have only heard the word being misused. The intense stigma that PTSD sufferers are now dealing with was brought about entirely by apathy and malice, not a genuine misunderstanding.

She tried to explain to me that it was a really interesting and respectful treatment because it gets into the "psychology" of why Christian likes "BDSM". The sad twit further claimed that it allowed her to give her husband some helpful hints for the bedroom. When I pointed out that it glorified abuse rather than in any way representing real BDSM, she fell right back into how it gets into the psychology of "poor" Christian's past and his current "needs". When I tried to explain to her that there's a serious, quantifiable difference between abuse and BDSM, her eyes glazed over a bit like she couldn't quite understand. When I then pointed out that she could get much more helpful, sexy, safe, and sensible tips for bedroom funtimes on the internet without reading abuse romance, she looked at me like I whipped out a couple copies of KFS Magazine in the break room. Apparently, reading bestselling novels with irresponsible portrayals of glorified abuse is waaaaay better than getting sane/safe/consensual advice online from actual practitioners and professionals. The Dom... we will not insist you read the fourth book! It ended at the best place. Just stopping. I mean a better place would've been at the beginning. But the gods clearly wanted to punish us. I must say that I love that you give these books the proper verbal hatred they deserve! Also, your voice control is so much better. I mean, your throat problems kind of forced you to keep your passion more internal. It was a bit flat early days. But now you've really come far into delivering your hate without raising your voice and screaming. Your tone control is excellent without having to raise your voice that much! I'm sorry you have to suffer through these. The sacrifices you make for us so we don't have to read them... *wipes tear away at heroism* For the record, I was not one of the retweeters for fifty shades darker.

I like to imagine these two getting relationship advice from Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers. Ana drones on for hours about every thing Grey does, with him simply dismissing it all as passion or protectionism, resulting in Scott and Ramona deciding that Grey needs to die, cutting in to pieces with "The power of love" and "The power of understanding" swords, Grey exploding into a pile of billions of dollars, and then Scott and Ramona taking half the money as their reward for killing such a horrible person and having to listen to Ana's annoying voice for hours. After which Wallace comes in and tells Ana to just move on and remember him as the abuser he is. But Ana refuses to remember him as the abuser, forcing Knives to jump down and kill her with knives, taking ana's money for herself. I know it will never happen, but its a better ending than what James came up with.

Speaking as an abuse survivor as well as someone into BDSM it pisses me off when people conflate the two. They are nowhere near the same thing and to suggest that they are is repugnant. I could go on forever raging over this topic. As such I'll just state this: my spouse = lovely human who likes kink but respects my body as mine, my ex = abusive asshat who thought he owned me.

(Warning, contains request and rage.) Dear Dom, thank you countless times for explaining triggers! As a survivor, I am really grateful for that and it hurts every time someone uses the word in a way that lowers the meaning of it. (I hope you understand what I mean, english is not my first language.) Since you do such a great job with that kind of content, would you consider doing a review on the Netflix series "You"? It's not that bad, it really tries to make the stalker seem like the bumhole he is. Plus it's based on a book too, so it's not far from your video subjects. Unfortunately, they missed some opportunities and a lot of people missed the point and now there are whole swarms of women who think it is SO DARN ROMANTIC that he DOES SO MUCH for her.. he's just a little creepy, I mean well, he killed her friends because the "weren't good for her", he locks her in the basement so she learns to love him, but MY OH MY he's SO sexy and charming and what he does for her! RO-MAN-TIC! I tell you! Erm.. I guess you get what I mean. Thank you again, and have a good day!

Lorem_Keksum - Before replying to the second paragraph, I just want to mention that I hope you're doing well, and I'm sorry you had to go through such a negative experience. Your english is fine and completely understandable, by the way, so no worries there. I wouldn't have even considered that you weren't a native speaker, honestly. Oh... Oh geez, I... How are there people misconstruing the main character in You as a romantic lead? The show itself even has moments of outright telling you the relationship is not healthy for either one of them (and I can't recall anything really contradicting those points). The thing that sucks is that it seems like a lot of people mix up romantic actions with abusive ones because it IS nice to see someone who is devoted to that special someone in their life, and it IS attractive to see a character who will put effort into keeping a relationship alive, so the HOW part is overlooked. Devotion is cool, but not downright dependence and obsessive behavior. Effort to keep a relationship going is great, until their are no boundaries that won't be crossed to ensure they remain with you, no matter how twisted your methods. A lot of people like the characteristics that they can match up to a good love interest; devotion, intelligence, assertiveness, etc. and when they see these traits displayed it can be hard to separate that while these traits may be what they want in a man (or woman), they don't want the way these traits manifest. So especially if the character has a sad past, where it is more natural to feel protective and excuse behaviors, people can easily excuse all behaviors until they seem like a misguided but thoroughly romantic person worthy of being with. People want to believe that they ARE romantic, and they act the way they do for valid reasons, because it's always hard when you've built an emotional attachment to say someone is abusive rather than in need of someone loyal enough to stick it out. Don't know how clear my thoughts are, but I hope my point can be understood. I wish more people realized that traits that can be positive can be negative too, that someone's trauma doesn't excuse them abusing someone else, and that a lot of times, they don't find the character romantic. They either find the idea of what they could be romantic, or they find the dominance and persistence of the character admirable. Joe can be wish fulfillment in the regard that he finds a way to control so much in life and everyone wishes they could take the reigns more, but what he's DOING to achieve that control is, hopefully, not anything anyone would want in their life. People, please don't mistake the appeal of idealism (as in, the idealism of having more control in life, or more suitors, or whatever it is you want) for finding appeal in the reprehensible acts of any person, fictional or otherwise. If anyone did what Joe did in real life, it'd be terrifying. There's nothing romantic about it the moment you put yourself in Beck's shoes.

Ok, I REALLY don't get why my normie friends find this story so romantic. And they agree that Grey is fine acting how he is because of his childhood. I had a bad childhood, I was forced into prostitution as a TODDLER by someone who was meant to protect me. But if I have a PTSD episode and find out my boyfriend had to keep me away from the knives because I was going to hurt myself, people tell my boyfriend to get away from me and that I'm faking it to control him. I'm just lucky enough that he has been with me to these psychiatry appointments and has had my diagnosis confirmed by doctors, or else his friends who know nothing about mental health, who use 'triggered' as a joke when someone gets upset my something, might have actually been able to convince him to leave. The longer we're together the better I've gotten but it's still hard to deal with. If I go through that becuse of a genuine issue with PTSD how come people I've met i real life that are just like Grey get away with abuse? Grey reminds me of my dad and it makes me sick. I only get through these videos because I watch them on a good day and I like hearing the rantings of a sane human being who has the balls to speak the truth about this hideous representation of abuse, packaged as a healthy relationship. I love your videos and although you hate these books and their messages I'm glad your doing this Dom
