First time I've seen Sungha Jung's face so serious while playing guitar. It's so unlike him, because usually he just enjoys the music. It must be performing in front of his idol that's put a bit of pressure on him. :-)
Jedaqia Angel yes fight looks very very hard, but its actually easy...even abit easier than wings you are the hero, only technique used in fight is AM attacks, PM attacks if you want to play 10th anniversary version. Ofc im not saying any beginner can pick up a guitar and play this, but anyone with more than 1 year of guitar history should do.
Kotaro was like "well he's just a child" then "you're pretty good lets look at this child for a little bit" and finally "holy shet this child is crazy!!!"
How youtube think about recommendation 2009: hmm, yeah but little bit 2010: just yes 2011: probably nope 2015: still nope 2020: oh hell yes, lets put this on recommendation
obviously kotaro himself was amazed by the way sungha jung plays the guitar (at his age compared to kotaro)..he even looked and stared (with so much interest) at sungha's fingers movements while playing..a real gifted..a bow and salute to sungha!!
lol anyone thinks sungha is better than kotaro doesn't matter now or back then is out of their minds, and obviously never listened to kotaro's compostions seriously (wings you are the hero, landscape, departure, tension, strongly recommended), Sungha has so much potential and definitely proved his composing talent in recent originals, but Kotaro have always been the idol and inspiration for any young asian guitarists, Sungha Jung, Yuki Matsui, Satoshi Gogo etc etc, you can see it just by the amount of am and pm techniques(invented by Kotaro) they uses in their comps. just like Tommy.E and Andy.M for western guitarists, the position of grand master have not yet been challenged.
No disrespect to Kotaro, at the time this was shot Kotaro was definitely better but I think Sungha currently outperforms almost any fingerstyle guitarist by skills alone. I think Kotaro generally has better originals though. His level of talent at his age is truly phenomenal.
白핑크赤黒 sungha Jung is great, stating that he outperforms almost any fingerstyle guitarist is obscene. Kotaro, Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee and a whole long list of people are miles ahead of this guy even today. That said, he has potential and has great skill, but he's not quite there yet, if you want to argue that he's still young, look up Joe Robinson, he's young too and far ahead of Sungha Jung in terms of skill
Ahaha thats makes me laughing when kotaro oshio starting to watching people around him like he's "hey he plays better than me even its my own arrangement song" 😂
Yes, that's true - and in his most recent recording (2012) he's better still. Kotaro is understandably impressed and amazed. Nonetheless I still think Kotaro's own playing is the best - for tone, control of chord durations and sheer all-round funkiness!
wow, If you watch Sungha's 10th aniv version of this song the playing is much more faster and fluent. imagine the improvements he has achieved and just keeps getting better and better
Ppl go too far, hes great but his strumming revolutionary? Kotaro needs to watch more guitarists. Still great little player, hope he makes something of himself but don't disrespect the people he got his style from, right now it;s just that, other peoples styles. But if anyone could add something i hope it's him :D
@foxygranpa6 , And Kotaro is having the same reaction to those picks as I did: 'How the hell can you do a down brush stroke wearing *finger picks*? Gotta get me some of those! Kotaro has just joined the ranks of Trace Bundy, Tommy Emmanuel and every other guitarist in the world who has heard Sungha. Our general reaction is, "Whoa . . ."
