Thanks NAK, this is quite an important lecture I think you have done. To restrain ourselves from going from one "hi" to another. To go "from one hi to another hi" is like the age old proverb of money being at the root of all evil; such as when people say that they just want to be happy in life. It must be a fallacy and the only solution is to be content but how much do have to have to be content, is there a minimum requirement that needs to be satisfied so that it wont impact on our deen? Who knows, maybe we should become satisfied when we have the basics and no more i.e. food clothing and shelter and forget the rest so as not to distract us from the akhirah.
Ustaadh Nouman, you have such an amazing way of explaining and making the audience engage to the point it feels like you are speaking to us one to one. Whenever I am down or need to re check my thoughts I instantly put on your biyaans. Mashallah I hope you can come to Scotland, Glasgow one day Inshallah. I feel sad and depressed sometimes for 10 years , but I try a lot to stay away from big sins . Why I feel that way , I pray, but I still feel bad . Is that my mektoub ?
If you constantly free depressed, along with prayer, you should go and see a psychiatrist as it could be an imbalance in your neurotransmitters. He can evaluate you and tell you if you are just sad (in a normal way) or if you need a medicine. Do not think of this as taboo, just go check out a Dr.

you are one of the best among all scholars always telling keep care of both duniya and akhirat !!! but i have a question i dont know where to mail you but if anybody knows his email id or something plz tell me!!! here is question " As you mentioned that we should take care of our body as we have to keep both duniya and akhirat in check !!! live good duniya as well as work here for excellent akhirat !!! but then Why Hazarat muhammad always live where they have food shortage , i listened in another khutbah that he was having no money to pay a debt to a sahabi ,when he asked from evr=eryone that if he ows any one anything !!!??? ALso other Muslims who were rulers but were unable to buy clothes for their children during Eid!!! i beg your pardon if i have said anything wrong but this question really knocks me day in and day out
Its not our kids fault it's our fault.. We spoiled them they have many choices, all their desires fullfilled.. It was kind of wake up call for me when I stopped working. I watch more carefully what i have to buy. One fresh clean meal done by mom. for everybody..when they are hungry. They will eat even brocoli..water is better than juice..toys should be educational . my kids are far more grateful and thakful el hamdoullilah..show them when you do sadaka and ask them if they want to contribute even 1 $ .we have to teach them to be generous, everything will follow inchallah with this kind.
