Jaime Munguia Teams Up With Legendary Trainer, Freddie Roach, As They Prepare For Munguia's Toughest Test To Date!
Jaime Munguia is set to make his return to the ring after winning 2023 Fight Of The Year. The Undefeated Mexican Superstar is set to face, veteran John Ryder, who is coming off a hard fought loss to the Face of Boxing, Canelo Alvarez.
Munguía vs. Ryder is a 12-round Super Middleweight fight presented by Golden Boy Promotions in co-promotion with Zanfer Boxing and Matchroom Boxing. MunguiaRyder will be live from Footprint Center, Pheonix, AZ on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
Tickets for Munguía vs. Ryder are on sale and are priced at $200, $150, $100, $75, $50 and $30 plus applicable fees. A limited amount of Golden Boy VIP Experience tickets will also be available for purchase with exclusive merchandise and fight night upgrades included. Standard and VIP tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or GoldenBoyPromotions.com.

Munguia is one of the most exciting fighters out there. He's the opposite of Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney who just try to win on points. Munguia is always going for the KO.

@@NoJive235 I enjoy the sweet science as much as the next guy but come on now. What Shakur did vs Santos was an abomination. That dull ass fight had everybody checking out early. Dude walked out with Crawford and Ward just to to put on his worst performance. He talks a big game too, he needs to grow some webitos. If you aint trying to ever get hit then I don’t think any combat sport suits you.

@lomejor6367 apparently he left Erik because Erik is more focused on politics now and don't have time to train him no more. Freddy is a good fit for his style he needs to work that jab more set up his power shots and work on his his has tank. He will give Canelo a good fight but idk if he can or will pull it off.

@josevillalobos663 if he improves fighters skills and win streak it definitely mean that he helped the fighter and thier career as well. No mames bro stop hating. Hopefully he gets Jamie to work that jab a bit more and set up better combos and need to.work on the headmovement in and out. The Canelo fight will be interesting. I hope he pulls it off that way we can see a fight against Jamie and Benavidez because Cleary Canelo don't want to fight him.

theres alot of racist bull💩on Mexican fighters being "slow, pro-defense & flat-footed", but Mexicans keep winning 😂😀🤪 Freddie is a World Class trainer & said his defense is pretty good & not bad, i rather listen to Freddie than the racist haters.... Jaimie is just aggressive, so he'll get hit a little more than other fighters, like most aggressive fighters do.. i hope Freddie elevates his game 100x, can't wait

im glad they are working on strength and conditioning, that is his bread and butter. He will never be a great technician he was never thought how to be that from the beginning. My coach was his first coach and he believes in only power and lacks the rest, by the time someone else became his coach they were never ever able to take bad habits away, let it be a lesson to all young kids go with a coach who knows about the art of boxing and not just fighting relying on brute force and strength

Jaime Munguia is 2nd best in Mexico right now. He's more exciting to watch than Canelo. After Canelo left Golden Boy he got Lazy and doesn't throw Combos anymore also Canelos stamina is horrible...no more head movement either. Munguia could give him Problems

Eric was wrong for Jaime... Eric was a skinny & smooth rubber man who had his own style of Boxing that suited him. Jaime is a 6ft tall bulky with brute force... he needs someone like Freddie or Manny Robles to teach him to be aggressive but with intelligence... Jaime was is just too big to move like Eric... so good move, plus Eric isnt a certified trainer

Primero, munguia me cae bien y le deseo lo mejor pero no los puedes comparar. Canelo siempre ha sido mucho mejor boxeador que Munguia y con mucha más defensa. Segundo, carnal ve y termina la primaria.
