@@_end3rguy_ I can literally count the polygons on his head. Of course it's shaded differently but what I'm telling is that you can create angular looking characters even on a flat surface.
@@TheAmazingAnimatorWait, no, he has a point, a click is defined to be the result of interlocking signals that send Information to the device, though, if you find out the average nano seconds it takes to fully click a mouse cursor, then we can simply divide that by half and try our humanly best to half click, it may send out the same signals but can have a huge physical impact based on how much pressure you put into the half click compared to when you click your mouse, right?
In my opinion, this is Sonic's best 3D model. Everything about it just clicks perfectly for me and it's shining with low-poly greatness, and to see it be drawn so well here makes me quite pleased. Swell work!
@@Sir_GrimReaper I don't really like to think of that one as Modern Sonic. Like, obviously it IS, but I feel like his Riders version just looks a lot more interesting.
Found your channel somehow in my recommended. Good work! The style is pretty fire. I probably might’ve not known it wasn’t 3D but I guess the work on X really triggered a gut feeling. 😅 Good work on the Timelapse! Awesome stuff! :D
The extremely cool thing is that this drawing demonstrates a high understanding of lighting and how it affects, not just any shape, but 3D polygons (which are 2D shapes on this canvas), and you executed it very well. It looks so beautiful, and the pose is striking, so excellent work! I really should play Sonic the Fighters...
I used to play sonic fighters all the time with my dad back when we had the Xbox 360 (I think that’s what we played it on.) sonic was a big part of my childhood.
I thought from the thumbnail the pic on the upper right corner was a reference pic. Good god, that is insane! How did you manage to capture the look of a low poly model in 2D this well?!
You have to have had the original model on hand when doing the shading there's no way anyone can be that accurate. If not then I am deeply shocked and impressed. Awesome job either way.
I did studied the model before hand to understand the design as accurate as possible! (Though the polygons definitely doesn't make any sense lol) The lighting is pretty simple, just need to select where I wanted my light source to be and reference a few official renders !
@@stupidfred4463 see as someone who loves drawing the character I would never be able to do something like this without the model available for reference lol. Anyway I think if I showed this to Sonic Retro as lost official renders on April Fools they would’ve probably believed me
