Ah, the last time I queried was in 2016 (very young with a manuscript that had a decent hook, but meh execution lol) and I'm hearing so much about how different it is. The even slower times like you mentioned, a lot more 'silence means no,' etc. How some agents are sending form rejections even after a full request? It's brutal. I'm not querying again until next year, but watching this has been super helpful for me. Good luck in the trenches and with your new work!

It’s definitely a process! My best advice is take it at your own pace and distract yourself with a shiny new idea 😂 Congratulations on your book!! That’s an awesome accomplishment!

Im in the query trenches now for my first childrens book and trying to keep distracted by working on revisions for my ya sci fi novel now that ive gotten beta reader feedback.😬
