I can't believe we finally made it! Honestly, the first week in Vietnam was pretty rough due to the jet lag. It was a lot easier to fight jet lag before we had kids because we could just force ourselves to push through and stay awake. With kids, we are on two other people's sleep schedules so it took a lot longer to get adjusted than I expected it would. It's a good thing we are staying in Vietnam for more than 5 weeks! I am not looking forward to doing this again when we get home lol. Looking forward to sharing more adventures with you guys soon! :)

Super mama!! I absolutely adore watching your awesome videos of your Vietnam trips. They instantly transport me back home, and I can't get enough of them! Hey, I totally get where you're coming from. When covid finally settled down and I got the chance to revisit Vietnam after two long years, guess what? I ended up catching a gnarly case of strep throat that took me over three weeks to bounce back from. Man, it was a real bummer! Turns out, the fluctuating temperatures played a part, and I definitely underestimated how it could mess with my health. Anyway, if there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's to do everything you can to steer clear of a sore throat. Trust me, that thing can go downhill real fast and drag out the healing process like nobody's business. So take care, stay healthy, and keep those fantastic videos coming!

Hi Mai! Thanks for the advice! Luckily we have all been in good health this far (knock on wood)! I was totally expecting to get sick from the flight since we did not wear mask the whole time as it was way too long and the kids did not mask, and the temperature shifts too, but we have all been great so far!

thanks for sharing your lives in Vietnam . You're blessed with two beautiful children ! Battling jet lag , the constant weight of heat and humidity , being away from the comfort of your own home , and shear exhaustion ; you managed to pull this episode through ! Flip side , you're polishing your Vietnamese language skills and your extended family were able to welcome your children ! Maybe as a way to decompress you or just your family should stay a night or two at a hotel ? If just your family , then Huy can just focus on the kids and not spread himself thin through obiligation focusing on everybody . I've always wanted to visit Vietnam and Thailand but you always hear about the nearly unbearable weather which is keeping me on the fence line ( LOL ) .

After 1 week we finally got over the jet lag! Makes me worry about the way back to the US because that’s always harder in my opinion since there is nothing interesting to keep you awake! Lol but we will see!

Nóng là theo phản xạ tự nhiên của mỗi người nhưng không phải nóng như ở đất nước Châu Phi 45 độ đến 50 độ mà chỉ có 32 độ quanh năm ngày tháng chỉ có vậy nhưng buổi tối thời tiết se se lạnh sẽ cho bạn một giấc ngủ ngon lành. Ở Việt Nam, tâm lý tư tưởng của bạn lúc nào cũng được vui vẻ, tràn ngập sự yêu thương, luôn luôn được mọi người gắn kết. Ẩm thực nơi đây vừa ngon và vừa rẻ, tôi tin bạn đến rồi bạn lại không muốn về đất nước bạn.

There are heat wave every summer in south East Asia. Coming from northeast USA, the heat and humidity are horrible in vietnam. I believe vietnam is 2x or 3x worst as compare to Florida in the summer

Hi! have a nice trip. I don't know which provine of Viet-Nam you are visiting. It seemed in the North, it's steamy hot in June, and it's not like in the Saigon (in the South), evening in Saigon it is little cooler after sunset.

Hi! Haha thank you! I have picked up a lot from grandma 😂😂😂😂 but I always threaten Amelia about the hospital LOL My husbands family speaks northern so that’s what I learned. It’s not anything like how I was raised but I have really enjoyed learning and adapting to this new culture. I am so happy to share this with my kids too, I want them to know their Vietnamese heritage as much as their American!
