I think you can tell what my mood was when I made this.
I'm trying doing the sketches separate now and not filming them because that's what tires me the most, still recording the inking though. So that's why the sketch is missing now and will probably be missing in most videos from now on. It's easier to be more creative during that phase without the pressure of the camera.
The pose was ref-ed from a senshi-stock photo. I had to add the clothes though and as you can probably tell I'm not that good with clothing folds, it's been a while. So that's something I have on my to-do list for studies.
In the meantime I'm just trying to do them as best as possible with little ref. I could spend hours looking for the right ones but that's just too much.
Anyways, also trying out using a liner brush here instead of a pen. I didn't really like it, but I think the brush might be to blame. It's synthetic so it has a real spring, sometimes springs when it shouldn't. I have a natural hair liner which is nicer but it's too large for small drawings like this. Really I'm finding most of my brush like stuff too large. I was going to buy myself a regular pocket brush, one of those popular ones, but this has helped me realize I should probably get some ultra-fine variation instead.
Also still not happy with my cross-hatching so I tried some ink washes here. I think I prefer these. I like the look of cross-hatching and I'll probably keep practicing it, but I'm never really satisfied with my heavy cross-hatching.
