As usual I liked the sketch better than the ink drawing even if his head was 5 sizes too big.
Sigh. Anyways, decided to try filling my waterbrush with ink. I've done this before with my first waterbrush (the blue one) but only after finding out it sucks. It has ink in it all the time. I don't care if it dries because it's only useful for texture. I've tried modifying it, but it's still horrible. It either flows too much or two little so in the end I've modified it for very little flow and a thin ink for textured strokes like in the background and the desk.
But with my new one, it works decently so I didn't want to fill it with ink because I'd forget, it would dry, and it would ruin it, but I'll probably use it again in this month and then after that I've set an alarm to clean it.
It's a bit too thick. I only managed the thin lines because there's like a looser hair near the tip that sticks out. I'm definitely going to buy a thin inking pocket brush in the future.
I managed but the tip is a bit unwieldy. Also since it had water in it already the ink was a bit light. Kind of helpful but also kind of not.
I really like how the desk turned out. Maybe not so much his hair. I think I've improved on the clothing folds a bit though. I realized I was making too many C folds and not enough lines (probably because I used to do the exact opposite a long time ago, lol).
