My gorgeous horse Willow is not right, I wouldn't say he is lame but he just seems 'off'
So we are figuring out what is wrong with my horse willow, my first point of call is always the physio, unless they are of course really lame then its the vet,

Here I share my journey from a complete novice horse rider to now competing at horse of the year (HOYS) shows whilst being a completely self-taught equestrian.

I compete my 4 Welsh section D cobs regularly in both in hand and ridden showing, from local level shows, affiliated, WPCS, RIHS, to HOYS qualifiers,
Willow - 11yr old Welsh section D - Sooty palomino
Gambler - 9yr old Welsh section D - Black roan
Champ - 7yr old Welsh section D - Buckskin
Donut - 2yr old Welsh section D - Chestnut roan
I am a completely self-taught horse rider who has a big dream to compete at HOYS, why not follow my journey to see if we can make it,

So glad it's nothing to serious with willow. He's a proper character when you was standing next to him he had grumpy face as soon as you walked away he's ears forward looking at you like where you going mum.

So pleased that it is nothing more serious. He will soon be back on track. What part of the country are you in? I am in Staffordshire and had lots of rain but I think you have had more than us. Let’s hope for a drier spell now. x

Oh Willow 😬😂 maybe he just fancied a little break, I swear mine do that ... Days before a show a mysterious non-descript lameness appears. Then magically vanishes again after the show 😂

Haha yes always the lead up to some big show or big plans that we have 😂 They are more intelligent then we think, I swear they can understand completely what we say, They listen to us and think ‘nah can’t be bothered to do that this weekend, let’s start walking funny to get out of it’ 😂😂 Thank you, I’m so pleased he’s not broken, my heart always sinks when he’s not right x

Pansy horse.... Haha ha that was funny Karen... Am glad he's sound and it was nothing serious.... The hot water bottle treatment is a very good idea, as is strapping... The rain has stopped thank goodness as we have a qualifier at the weekend on grass arena so it should? have time to drain and settle... Ooh good news the local farmers have permission to dredge the river as it runs near and in their land..... Hope you're feeling better and are getting your mojo back we've been feeling a bit groggy and heavy headed but we just carry on don't we ,,, horses come first... We finally got a light in our tack room so I'm gonna clean up before dinner... Till next time 👍....

It's so annoyingly when its just the slightest niggle and difficult to determine exactly what the root cause is. Thank goodness he has an owner like you Karen. How many times I've heard people say....push them thru it, they'll be ok. X

Glad to know that Willow is doing well and that he is going to be ok. i always remember my hores if he didn't want to go out he would put on a limp. i had the vet out to him many a time thinking he had done some real damage to his leg but as soon as he as put back in the field he was fine.keep up the great work that you do
