Talofa Singer. Thank you for reacting to our brother Fiji aka George Vaikoso, good friends with my uncle Konishiki aka Saleva'a. Solo artist. He is a local Polynesian singing legend from here in Hawaii, the goat of Jawaiian Reggae music.. Appreciate you. Aloha 🤙🏾🌈
Thank for the great shoutout and reaction to one of our artist in Hawaii. There are from Fiji but we love them in Hawaii. We are all one. Mahalo means thank you💯😊
Bro you're right. Here in the Pacific Islands, there haven't much exposure to other side of the world in music. But it would be awesome, if you have time to react to any songs of DMP, Onetox, Dezine, Seanrii and more.
Bruuuuuuuh, you stumbled upon a diamond in the rough. Fiji. 20 years ago, that man could dance, sing and work the entire stage performing concerts with no breaks. Today his health limits his mobility so he gets around in a wheelchair. For Pacific islanders worldwide and in Hawaii, he is our island reggae superstar.
Fiji is one of the most popular artists out of Hawaii. He is not Hawaiian (he is Fijian) but he is known by ALL islanders because of his music. And he’s not in a group, if you can believe it. He does most of his own backup on his recordings☺️ GOAT fr fr. If you watch his live performance in NZ (e papa) you’ll see what I mean by all islanders. Much love & bless up
To be fair e papa is a NZ Māori song, and is basically our national anthem. Whether Fiji sung it or any artist the whole crowd would of sang along. Not to discredit Fiji he is a staple on every polys playlist.
Fiji is his artist name. He goes by the name George "Fiji" Veikoso from the island nation of Fiji. He used to be a backing vocalist for the Quinno and Friends Band (Big Mountain lead singer). Fiji helped pioneered the now known Hawaiian music movement called the Jawaiian Reggae, a mixture of Hawaiian and Jamaican flavour. He is a PACIFIC SENSATION, just to sum things up 😁🔥🔥🔥🔥
That’s only a one man show. Fiji sings every verse/background vocal/high notes I mean he is a legend to our Polynesian people. I’m glad you took the time to enjoy one of many of his songs but there’s more. ❤
So glad someone requested Fiji! Our family lived in Hawaii for 7 years while my husband was stationed at Pearl Harbor and I fell in love with Polynesian music. Yep, I got this CD!
This made me extremely happy watching you react to this, I've been following you for a while now & love your reactions. I found you through reacting to the GOAT "Harry Mack" Fiji known by "George Veikoso" is a Fijian musician, songwriter & vocalist. He was born in Fiji, raised in both Hawaii and Fiji. Thank you for always brighting up my day, big love from Sydney Australia. 🙏🏽
Fiji's music depicts the real laid back kind of music Pacific people listen too. A bit of reggae and easy listening combined which goes well with island relaxed life. Fiji lives in the US/Hawaii and is of Fijian descent (an island in the Pacific)
My brother believe it or not it ain’t a group it’s just one man the legend of Pacific music Polynesian soul reggae.. George “Fiji” Veikoso.. All time Fav artist and singer of Polynesian sound.. Always have to jam with his music.. cheers for the reaction..🙌🏽💯🔥 stay blessed..
5:36 Yeah Nic, that’s George aka Fiji hitting them high notes my Man 🔥🔥🔥. 6:21 Been listening to Fiji for years and never put it together that he sounds like Gerald Levert, Good catch. 6:50 Also, from what I remember, it’s mainly Fiji (aka George) singing with his own vocal overdubs rather than a group but I’ve seen some live vids where he does have background singers but it’s him on his own.
Fiji is a Melanesian country. Hence I respect how United " FIJI & neighbouring Pacific Island Musicians perform under ONE UMBRELLA when they're in bigger countries. Music has United us no matter the country🎵...just like Rugby
You haven't heard anything yet brother Fiji can sing in different languages Fijian, Hawaiian, Samoan and so forth he the man shout out to y'all who just discovered this brother
@@lelimanu077 Churr Bro👍 Didn't know that Fiji was just the singer Lol. Legit thought that was the name of the whole band this whole time growing up listening to them. Learn something new every day 🙌😉

Bro this is one song you should def learn, for when you go to a poly party and they start chanting this song with a guitar if your lucky, then you can hear the sound of the pacific blare in all its gloriousness, thanks for this reaction.
Fiji is sort of the polynesian version of Aaron Neville don't get me wrong NO ONE can be AARON NEVILLE but if tou listen to his tracks you'll get what I'm saying. In the last 12 years when I started hearing Fiji come on the michigan radio I started crying. The sound of home playing in my new home where everyone is amazed of his voice. #polypride #808
