$6/mo subscription fee ($3/each) seems predatory given that there are no significant updates to features, software, or functionality possible. Sure they have to host a server to transmit the data - but it can't be more than a few kb to send an on/off or color change signal. If it was $3/mo per lamp and the lamp was free (instead of $150) that would make sense....but it isn't. If the company goes under or just decides to stop supporting the product, you will have paid hundreds for what is essentially a $15 lamp.
i dont think so my mom works there and ive been to the worksite a few times and from i know you cant buy them there but shiping might be cheaper! and they do deals around christmas so thats would be a good time to buy
They are poorly constructed, the glue will allow the cheap plastic to peel away easily. The software is already ancient and a pain to set up. The fact you need to buy a monthly or yearly subscription to communicate with loved ones is ludicrous. That is what phones are for. I can get a Phillips wi-fi enabled light bulb that can perform FAR more without paying money monthly. This product is GROSSLY overpriced. Pass this one up. Garbage.
