I do believe that some westerners should refrain from calling other culture behavior immature with as much havoc the west has caused around the world. With that being said, tampo is a part of Filipino culture and deeply rooted in interpersonal relationships. It may appear to as mere sulking or the silent treatment, and dismissed as immature conflict resolution to some but understand tampo is more than that; it reflects the cultural fabric that dictates emotional expression and comprehension in various societies. Therefore I think it’s unfair to evaluate Filipino culture through the lens of Western standard.

Mine pulls that garbage from time to time. I just ignore her right back, and act like I'm having the time of my life. As soon as she realizes tampo means nothing to me or she needs something she snaps out of it. I'm an asshole though, so I extend the courtesy right back to her. If she plays for two days, I extend it two more and just go driving around or visit the SM for lunch.

Live from new York hello. My wife doesn't do tampo . when she's mad she doesn't shut up and sometimes she gets aggressive especially when she fights with her mom and dad. Sometime I have to get in between and the only one who absorb the blows is me.
Well speaking from my own experience with mine, I just do the same and go out on a Long Walk or to visit friends. In less than 2 hours they will be calling and trying to Track you down Guaranteed! It’s definitely a Sign of Immaturity regardless of their age. As for myself when I don’t like how she’s acting rather than argue I just go take a Nap! 😂😂😂
