Aren't you supposed to wash that dry sand before you put it in? That may be where all that stuff in the water is from? I also make aquascape's if you where interested in maybe making a trade for frags? Let me know. I have dry rock and rock with coraline.
Yeah we thought it would just be easier to dump in all the sand, let the tank fill up, and then flush the residue through the filter socks and take them out and wash them. It actually worked out pretty well and I didn't have to spend all that time rinsing the sand out :-) if you would have reached out to me several months ago I might have taken you up on the offer but we already have everything we need now, thank you though
