I travel around the state of Oaxaca, Mexico with my Leica M6 and Pentax 67 cameras, and work with film. I use the new Reveni Labs Incident Meter as my light meter.

Nice job on the video. I agree, when I am at a busy shoot, wedding etc., I don't have time to get lost in menus. Nice little meter for what it is.

Enjoyed this one Todd. Mexico looks amazing. I was going to get an around the neck or pocketable meter at some point this year. This is interesting. Cheers

I would love a small meter like this but I kind of agree with you about the form factor not being ideal. Is remote triggering available for the flash mode?

Yes, Flash sync port: 3.5mm mono, low and high voltage compatible (400VDC maximum). The thing is it's a cool little meter that you can't knock too much simply because it's a great price and it's accurate. I had no exposures that were off. Now if this were $900, then we would have to chat. But I will definitely travel with this and use this.

I also agree on the form factor. I doesn't seem comfortable to me. Also it might be your style of shooting but most of your colour photographs seam underexposed by more than a stop. I have the original (1st) ligtmeter from reveni and Ive noticed it gives me bad reading unless i point it half way down, my first roll was underexposed too. I reverted to using Sekonic 308x and my own judgement

Yes indeed that is my shooting style, and how I processed the images after I scanned them. In this great light I do like deep blacks and look for contrasty situations. I realize the whole color negative style these days is to overexpose your negative by a stop. But I am trying to create a mood. Thanks for watching.

A digital camera is a lot more useful to determine exposure for a film camera than any light meter. Previewing the effect of using multiple flash units is especially handy with a digital camera. I used to shoot 4x5 and 120 chrome film on architectural interiors and advertising shoots with as many as twenty flash units and previewed on countless Polaroids. I didn't use a meter very often. I've shot those subjects digitally while tethered to a computer for the past 20 years...never meter.

Yes a digital camera is also great for determining exposure, although I did not travel with one.

I don’t know if you are aware, but your video’s music is from Spain and it’s got nothing to do with Mexico or the landscape. On the photography, I agree with one of the other comments, pictures look like 1 stop under. Glad you enjoyed the shooting experience, though.

Yes some of the music was Mexican and some was Spanish. Just what I had available to me from the library I use.
