Today we’re gonna talk about why in 2024, when digital cameras are as superior as they’ve never been before, film photography is getting more and more popular. I’m gonna share with you my story, why I decided to switch to analog and my point about shooting film in the era of mirrorless cameras.

Digital can be about a process as well. Well, it really depends. My main digital cameras are 5d mark 1 and nikon d200 and they’ve this almost analogue feel when shooting(i have other old dslrs, like olympus e300, canon d60(no, not 60d, exactly d60, predecessor of 10d), digital point and shoots like ixus 70 and so on) and images look kind of like slide film on this all sensors.

You’re absolutely right, at last it’s all about the man behind the camera. This video is like my confession, what has changed inside my head after switching to analog. BTW is Ixus 70 really worth the hype? 🧐

@@grainystories no, it isn’t. I bought ixus 70 simply cause of design(i actually have similar looking elph for aps film), but otherwise it’s just a regular p&s from 2000s(and not even “enthusiast level” ps, cause its 1/(2/3) sensor instead of bigger sizes like 1/(1/7) or 1 inch. I could recommend you two “sleeper” nikons that are still cheap and smoke most of digicams - p7000(still cheap, manual controls a-la dslr, ccd, 1/(1/7) sensor) and j1(1 inch, combine with nikkor 10 2.8 or kit zoom)

@@grainystories May as well look into canon g series which is kinda like rival of p7*** nikons, but they’re more expensive. Also bigger sensors than your average p&s. I can also recommend kodak easyshare lineup, very cheap prices for fun cameras
