That's key about that TD from Kmet. He said in the press conference that he learned from Jimmy Graham to attack half of the man. Loved seeing 85 go towards the defender to shed him off rather than finesse his way into the end zone. BEAR DOWN
Love your video breakdown. For someone who didn't play, it presents the game in a whole new light for me and gives me an appreciation for the complexities of the roles/responsibilities of each position player. Thank you so much.
Pretty good breakdown of the offensive line play. They have gotten better with Davis out and he will now stay out. Jenkins' backup is no slouch either. It will be its best when Bates is healthy enough to play. With the Bear defense, they are going to humble the Washington football team in week 8. My prediction of 43-10 for the Jags game was close. They will be scoring 6 TD's in a game soon and maybe a 50 burger on the Patriots. Yes. I said that. lol!! Bear Down!!
4:03 JT O'Sullivan from QB School was of the opinion that Jenkins sheds the block slightly late and ends up taking the wrong guy on this screen and messed up the block for Shelton too. The execution doesn't pass the eye test very well either 🫤
They're doing better technique wise but there are still multiple cases per game where somebody is completely confused as to who they're supposed to block leaving folks completely unblocked. 3:35 Shelton and Jenkins both blew that 2nd level block, that should have been a tackle there.
If that was there best game as a O line, I dread when the bears go up against winning teams with good defenive lines. we're are not expecting perfection but we are expecting consistency. What's oing to happen against washington or Green Bay? What of Minnesota or San Frans' defensive lines? I hope it goes well but for the evidence we have in front of us - well I can judge for myself, this issue will rise again unless changes are made.
you spelled bottom wrong. don't be fooled, when the team plays against other bad teams the players around the OL will make them look passable. Against quality teams, specifically quality defenses this OL will continue to get exposed. First play you center on Wright, but Jones also loses, if Wright doesn't get beat in front of Williams he likely doesn't try and get free and is sacked on his blind side. That isn't a win for Jones either. the LG/C are also getting pushed back. entire OL was bad that play. On the play where Jones is beat like a child's drum 1x1 Pryor also gets beat, if his DL doesn't lose his balance, again Caleb takes sack instead of running for 19 yards.
I am afraid this is the truth. Though, I will say the play calling has been better which has improved the run game which has eased the pass blocking. But I still think they're going to struggle against above average pass rushes.
I love when you goofs pop up with this stuff as if nobody else ever thought of it. Yes, we all know the jags are bad. It's funny how people praise Daniels and the Commanders for beating terrible teams, but with Caleb, they say "he's only beaten bad teams though"
Agree Jags and panthers defense is weak, disagree that there is nothing to analyze. Bears are dealing with these opponents as they should be dealing with them. Far better for Caleb and the offense than going against the the Bears defense in practice and better than a preseason game. NFL has given the Bears a good schedule for a team with a new OC and rookie QB to develop because the last 8 games will really put them to the test.
