At 22 I lived the 85 Bears and man what a ride. Now old AF I get the same feelings, not necessarily this year..but maybe next year. Keep up the super nerd stuff Adam, it's awesome. claws out and Bear da F down
Same hear I was born in 60 feels like 84 when the Bears started getting good. After the loss to the 49's in NFC championship game I knew 85 would be the year I recorded every game!!! Bear Down and Beer Down!!
Agree with u brozay... bears fan since 84 i said 11-6 this yr BUT next yr after we build the trenches mo c og t dt de along with te wr fs and a lil depth the bears will b DANGEROUS!
It does feel like 84-85 time frame with the D leading the way. The old O was built around Walter and our best receiver was Willie Gault who was fast but couldn't catch (like Clifford Franklin). Flus has a long way to go to emulate Ditka. All that said I am loving watching this team.
I don't usually comment but I like the amount of info you give on the grading stats for the players for the game. I watch you just for that because it's informative and concise and I wouldn't look it up myself. Kudos
Doesn't it just get you excited of what "could be" but finally I'm a very realistic way instead of day dreaming and trying to play fantasy? I love this!
Yes, and on the flats. He really struggled to set an edge and get his defender at the line of scrimmage on the quick plays, but looked really good the last couple game s
@@Beardownsports use the Justin Fields 4th round pick to draft a TE. We have just enough picks next year to fill every remaining need to complete the rebuild. Poles has one more draft where he needs to knock it out of the ballpark
Hey Adam; saw a national guy proposing we trade that early 2nd round pick (from Carolina) to the Colts for Quenton Nelson. We know that’s a pipe dream as Indy is not trading him. Assuming Poles doesn’t make a trade deadline splash; I want to run this idea by you: We trade our 3rd rounder and our 1st round pick (will be around #25) to move into the lottery and grab a blue chipper around #7 overall. We should hold onto that Carolina pick because these early 2nd round picks are very desirable. You get a 1st round talent on a 2nd round contract. So with this idea; we get a blue chipper in the lottery and a first round talent with Carolina’s pick. Then we still have our own 2nd round pick. Poles has many options/avenues to improve the OL (trade, free agency, draft), and it will be intriguing to see what they do…
There's absolutely no reason the Colts have to trade Nelson? They're a fringe Playoff team that's young and not in salary cap trouble. Why would they do that?
To move from 25 to 7 it will take at least a future 1st round pick and another draft pick this year to do that. We're not struggling for a blue chip talent and the positions we need can be found with extreme value at late 1st, 2nd, 3rd on. I personally am not in favor of trading up
Yes Commanders played Ravens well, but we also played Texans close in Caleb’s very 2nd game with a lot of mistakes. So the whole team Bears is better than Commanders, now Caleb has closed his gap from Daniel . We should be able to put up points on them, not sure if Daniel can score more than 20 against us. If Bears can score in the mid-20s, they probably will win. 27-23 Bears win
I'll take this kind of run blocking in a heartbeat, if they can keep up the pass blocking. That's all they need to be a monster offense. The O-line will be pretty solid, if they can continue playing like this. I still think using 2 of their top 3 draft picks on OL is a good idea. I also think they should be scouting mega kickers. After watching that Houston game be decided by a bunch of 50 yard FGs I'm on that mega kicker bandwagon. We need to keep up with the modern NFL. Even better, innovate. Use Santos as the short guy and a mega kicker as the long guy. I mean, it's better than having guys on the roster who never play.
I can't imagine having two kickers on the active roster taking up that space. I'm all in favor of finding a Brandon Aubrey as a replacement for Cairo, but we're stuck with Cairo for now (not the worst thing. Super accurate, just no leg past 50)
@@Beardownsports That's what makes it innovative. It's one of those things that seems like a bad call, but could change the game. Permanently, it doesn't make sense, but I'm just talking about a season or 2 while the new guy settles in. Then he can learn from a veteran while having less pressure on him. Nobody does this, I know. But I'd rather have a young, high potential kicker on this roster than someone like Velus Jones, who doesn't play. I know that he probably won't be here next year, so he's not relevant to this particular discussion, but I get it. Nobody wants to use a second roster spot on a kicker. They'd rather have depth in another position. But I would like to see someone with a great kicker, nearing the end of his career, try this sometime. It seems crazy, but I like the idea.
Hey Adam, what are your thoughts on Nate Davis possibly getting cut once Ryan Bates & Larry Borom come back from IR given he seems to be inactive going forward? People say he won’t get cut due to his contract but in my mind there’s no point in paying an inactive player taking up a roster spot
I'm not a fan of cutting him at all. Ride this year out as quality depth... and yes, he is quality as a depth piece. If you can find a trade partner before the deadline to take his contract, you do it in a heartbeat for a 5th or 6th. I like all those scenarios. He is valuable even though this fanbase absolutely hates him
I thinks he's a 11 mil cap cut casualty this year as opposed to 2 mil next year. Definitely don't cut him this year. And plus he seems to play equally as hard as a backup role
He's getting paid regardless due to his contract. Cut him him next year with 2 million dead cap hit. Cut him this year He's still getting paid 10 million.
@@Morosoph-u5f Depth. He's a depth piece in a vital position. I promise you outside of Chicago's fanbase, people don't view Davis as bad as you guys are making him the plague. His pass pro is actually really good. He's not playing because he can't be a complete guard that hustles on the run plays. He's fine as a backup
