Enjoy watching these after every game! We're inexperienced this year and have a lot of growing still to do. Based on this game, though, it looks like all the pieces are there for us to be great in the future. Hail State and thanks, Matt!
Understanding the situation with an inferior opponent, it was a nice game to watch overall. I am so happy to see an offense that might be fun to watch. Not waiting until one second on the play clock to snap the ball. Some sense of urgency. A QB who can maneuver in the pocket and can apparently read a defense and hit a WR downfield. While we often has nice offensive stats over the last few years we were rarely ever exciting to watch. I'm thinking we learn a lot more about this team Saturday night in Arizona. Looking forward to seeing how we play.
First of all, that's a FULL BACK position in the beginning, not tight end. Wrong play by you at 3:49. Missed the safety position calling it a tight end again. Dude didn't choke up, wiggle, or whatever else you want to call it running down that sideline. Matt, you were qb at State - you SHOULD know this! TOOOOOO much analysis on one play, btw. C'mon, do better.
37:17 Kurt Warner would probably say that route concept is a manbeater and bad against zone... EKU QB def failed to verify the coverage... if State was playing man coverage, that go + out (gout?) would probably have been an effective rub.
Facts, booth seems legit. Lee is big athletic and can run pretty good but it’s like he hesitates and doesn’t run north to south.I feel like lee should be way better than he is. Wish we had Woody
I liked what I saw from the offense but the defense seems questionable..We couldn’t get much pressure on the QB and gave up some big runs..They picked our secondary apart at times they scored with ease before half..We are gonna need to play a lot better vs ARizona state they’re a good team this season beat the crap outa a decent Wyoming squad.. I’m so worried bout the defense very worried
Wyoming isn’t decent my man…….. keep in mind they are projected to go 6-6. They are struggling and got behind big early and had the air taken out of their sails
It’s hard to say. I don’t remember a single blitz on the day. It appeared to be all 3 and 4-man fronts that had to create pressure and defend the run on their own. We didn’t do anything to speed up the QB. You’ll know more after this week for sure.
Kentucky won over this team last year. Was 28-17. I was impressed with our team speed,effort and no big errors. I still think we have a good shot at 6 wins. Go Dogs, Hail State
