Nah I disagree respectfully, Rattler was being pressured the entire time due to his bad o-line and there were multiple plays where he put the ball on the money and the receivers dropped it. Also, there was a crucial bad snap that resulted in a huge loss which caused in a loss of momentum. If you give him the weapons and line that carr will be using week 1 he would've definitely scored on a few drives at the very least.

It’s crazy that 85% of the fan base think he’s ready to start day 1, I’ve been a carr fan even when he was at the raiders so there is some bias but man he started to turn it on at the back end last year, keeping in mind he had one of the worst washed play callers calling plays for him in Pete Carmichael which doesn’t help. Cooked tampa, cooked ATL those are the 2 games I remember the most and he did the best he could against LAR to. The real ones know he’s gonna get us back to the playoffs this year under kubiak everyone will eat, even if he doesn’t light it up he doesn’t have to our defense is one of the most underrated in football tbh. Olave, AK, rashid, if our o line can get it together and the defense again is just filled to the brim with talent. As a buccaneers fan I think he did well. His receivers couldn't catch Plus this O-line is trash. I don't think any quarterback would survive How poorly the line played

I wanna be clear: I'm pretty sure no one in charge at the Saints thinks Rattler was in the QB1 discussion. There was a battle for QB2, but Haener is probably favored for that. Rattler is a rookie, and though he has an apparently high ceiling, it would serve him best to get some time to fix the mistakes. Lots of great QBs had time to sit behind a vet.

The offense line didn't play good for Spencer, but if he would play with the first string offense he would play good.

Rattler fell to the 4th round for a reason. Bad mechanics and footwork. Bails out of the pocket too much and struggles to see the field. The reason Saints fans were hyping him up is cause we are stuck with Derek Carr who is probably the most overrated loser QB ever. All 3 of our QBs play like rookies.

I still think he's trending upward. I would've liked to see him push the ball downfield in the third and long situations, though. Hope he gets to play in some real games this year.
