The intro might've been the most terrifying thing MatPat's ever made.

I've always liked the implication that Doof was just able to cover cities in tin foil and nobody decided to do anything about it.

Forget the actual theory, my childhood was ruined in the opening scene. EDIT: Why did this blow up almost a year after I posted it? Thanks for the likes though.

I think Doofs biggest mistake was putting a self destruct feature on all of his devices and making the self destruct button easy to find.

doof is the smartest human alive, but he has no common sense.

I have a suggestion for another Phineas and Ferb-related theory: how fast is Candace Flynn? Candace clearly has some level of super speed. In the episode "Interview with a Platypus" she manages to stay ahead of the horde of animals chasing her -- a horde which includes at least one horse, at least one giraffe, at least one greyhound, at least one bizarrely-small hippopotamus, and at least two deer -- for the entirety of the song "It's a Perfect Day," and possibly longer, since we don't see exactly what transpires after the song ends. In "Fireside Girl Jamboree" she runs 20 blocks in 2 minutes -- which may be possible, I don't know -- immediately before running up 74 flights of stairs (assuming 2 flights per floor when she's going from the first floor to the 38th) in 3 minutes -- which I'm fairly sure isn't possible. I suspect that if you closely examine some of the many scenes of Candace running, analyze the distance she's covering and the time she's taking to do it, you'll find that she's running at superhuman speeds in some of them. To clarify, I specifically mean how fast she can run when she's powered purely by her own athleticism and adrenaline -- the speeds she reaches while using the super-boots in the episode 'Run Candace Run' shouldn't count.

What I want to know is how Doof covered those cities in foil in the first place. Did he get permission? Did no one notice he was doing it? Do people genuinely support his idea? I need to know

12:13 I find it kinda funny and coincidental that P&F actually mentions that aluminum isn't magnetic. In the 2nd Dimension movie (which I just coincidentally happened to watch just last night, less than a day day before I watched this video), Carl demonstrates Agent P's new gadgets, and one of them is a powerful magnet that pulls Carl's glasses to it, and he says "and these are aluminum!" Just thought it was a neat little coincidence, (as well as a coincidence that I happened to watch that movie very recently).

The reason why Doofensmirtz is unsuccessful (well, one of the reasons) is because every time he fails he doesn’t try to correct his errors or find another way to use his invention, he just moves on and starts another project.

Putting together an invention that, while unrealistically advanced, is actually entirely feasible and then just... using it wrong, is actually entirely on-brand for Doofenshmirtz.

I just introduced my kids to this show the other day. As I was watching I was thinking to myself "But aluminum foil isn't magnetic. Oh no, but what sort of devastation will come to these buildings and their structural integrity.... the horror." I'm glad I came across this video. 😊
