Having previously lived in England, had no problem with the Police down south. Returned to Scotland to experience the police and it's been terrible, they threaten and abuse anyone that they can. Utterly bemused by the difference.

May I suggest about not giving details, we do have the right to privacy but I believe you have to verbalize you are exercising a particular right, literally have to say "I'm exercising my right to privacy" Any litigation resulting from an abuse of that right will be much easier after the fact.
