After getting fouled on a three-point attempt, Aaron Holiday hits two of three free throws with 0.03 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Houston Rockets over the New York Knicks, 105-103. Dillon Brooks led the way for the Rockets with 23 points (12 points, 4-4 3pt. FG in the 4th quarter) and 5 rebounds, while Jabari Smith Jr. added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. The Rockets snap a 4-game losing streak as they improve to 24-29 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 33-21.

Calm down. Adam Silver wants good refereeing more than anyone. Adam was the head figure in making the game easier to gamble on and bad refereeing works against that. He wants no doubt. Blame the right person if you want to be upset. The referees are individuals. You can find out there names and call them out individually. The NBA isn't asking them to be bad.

the thing that gets me is even if he did "make illegal contact," you don't call it in that spot. It might be an unwritten rule but it's been around since professional sports existed. Refs shouldn't determine the outcome of the game. For a foul to be called in that spot, it has to be blatantly obvious. The same principle exists in football. I guarantee there's a direction given to NFL refs to keep the flags in their pockets during end of the game deciding plays. To me it's an ego trip on the part of that ref to make that call, he wanted the game to be about him

Refs were sh!t this whole game. Brunson gets hacked or bumped everytime and gets maybe half the calls. So many calls were missed. Precious gets no calls at all and all he can do is throw his hands up. It was crazy. Knicks trying to win with their bench. I'm still encouraged. Looks like we won't actually be 100% until the playoffs so we may not even make it because these are game we just gotta pull off and almost did. Freaking refs man.

I am a Knicks fan. That being said, the last foul call was made by an non-professional. A professional referee does not bail out a player heaving up a prayer at the end of a game when the player was barely touched on the shot. Maybe in the 2nd qtr. when it doesn't directly effect the game. This referee needs to be fined for unprofessional conduct and a demotion to D II college ball. I don't know about nullifying the win for Houston.

Jacyn Goble and many of the referees need to get investigated. The problem is they won’t because there is too much money involved and the NBA is protecting their own interests. I wouldn’t doubt that it goes far beyond playoff matchups and even into betting and ensuring the right things happen on a night to night basis.

Ed Malloy actually admitted it was a bad call by him. Ref Ed Malloy: "After seeing it during postgame... the offensive player was able to return to a normal playing position on the floor. The contact which occurred after the release of the ball therefore is incidental & marginal to the shot attempt and should not have been called"

You can NOT end the game that way. He was already falling back. Brunson defended the shot without fouling. Plus the refs don’t like to call travel. What in THE F. It’s like, if you traveled before it was really due to a mistake or defensive pressure. It seems like these dudes are trying to find ways to take as many steps as they can without dribbling. Sheesh. I’m obligated to believe that if these guys knew the ref wouldn’t call it, they would travel from baseline to baseline with no dribbles at all just run down the court like Barry sanders 😂
