Hey, ' 1pilot 2000' , I retired from DeHavilland/Bombardier, been around the World 3 times on deliveries of the 200, and Q300 series, and for my money, the 300 is the nicest to fly in. It just 'rumbles' along like an old Dash-7. I've been in the Q400 also, with the "NVS" noise reduction. (GM has it on their new truck now), and I still like the 300 series. Slower? Well yes, but still more comfortable.
You can see why aircraft are so expensive to buy, so much work and precision goes into making all those expensive components fit together. Fantastic aircraft that seems to becoming a more and more common site in the skies all over the world
Didn't have to search halfway around the world for a comfy aircraft capable of short takeoffs and landings. Love flying Porter, love flying WestJet, and love flying in the Q400.
I never liked turboprops until I had to fly in them then I came to love, respect and appreciate them more. A true workhorse this airplane. Good job Canada for this plane. I wonder if they still produce them
leonelp51 Haha fair enough, I've been on a DC-10 (the first plane I ever went on) from Manchester to Orlando years ago haha, I have been on a Dash 7. That was just scary though lol
The thing that troubles me about the employee who stole the Alaska Airlines plane is that he (almost certainly) failed to even think about the time, dedication, blood, sweat and (but not limited to) tears that go into building one of these planes, only for someone who is only thinking of himself, to go out and destroy it in the name of destroying himself. Not one covered media piece will ever discuss this aspect.
Doesn't matter what you do. Someone will always bitch. Well-designed. Well built, and built with pride. Does what the manufacturer claims it will do, and does it well. Will also stand the test of time. For the rest of you whiners and complainers - take a hike !
The subway trains in bucharest ,romania are made by bombardier. When I heard the name of our subways I had a suspicion cause I heard this name somewhere in the airplane industry and I allways look at the logo inside the trains and when I saw the logo on that big hangar I instantly remembered the one from the subway cars
My dad was a foreman at the downsview plant. he worked on all the DHC aircraft. i was wondering where the Q series is being built now.. last time i was at downsview.. there were making parts..
+Ziggy85 “Ziggmanster” Gaming Air New Zealand order new ATR 72-600s to replace 500s. How ever Air Nelson (Air NZ) operate the Q300s which will need replacing in 5 years
What's so "Next Generation" here? I thought I would see a revolutionary and a futuristic flying plane here but Not an old style new assembled turboprop. But still nice job at assembling this it was clean.
Doenjang Stew - The horizontal stabilizer is located whete it works the bst, not where it looks the best. That’s the way most people who fly on it would prefer, if asked.
Dear WestJet, I’m Lunny Cen from the International Aviation Supply Chain (IASC). I'm writing to you to ask your permission to use your video "Final assembly of a Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft | WestJet Encore" on RU-vid. The IASC is a company founded with the mission to create channels of collaboration among global and Chinese aviation clusters, and bring aviation culture to China. These years, IASC has been recognized globally. In 2021, IASC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Washington State Department of Commerce to improve access for their local suppliers to the Chinese market. In 2022, IASC signed an MoU with the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP). In doing so, we have been jointly developing effective channels of cooperation and learning between global clusters through the Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership (GACP) China Hub. We have recently seen your video on RU-vid and would like to request permission to use this video to produce a Mandarin new clip. It will be used to promote your content at the IASC Leadership Summit and other related platforms. The video is for promotional purposes only, so we will not profit from this video and will of course credit you fully. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration! Sincerely, IASC
Is it really necessary to have that music playing. Also, why not show more detail in the planes construction with some voice over explaining what’s happening. Almost all these videos are at two or four time normal speed. Really can’t enjoy them.
Try flying on the new Bombardier CS100/300 which Delta has on order, you will change your mind, other US carriers will be ordering them as well, they can't find anything better in a narrow body aircraft, state of the art.
this is why I never like turboprops or any plane with propellers most of them are noisy never forgot what the U.S troop told me about the C-130 at an airshow the c-130 is very noisy and it doesn't guarantee comfort unboard
