I wonder if anyone's ever thought of Chrysalis not as an evil character, but as one who has to do what she must for her people. Obviously the show paints her in a dark light, but if you think about it...
CrimsonEbonyTears I mean no, "doing it for her people" does not absolve her from responsibility for her evil actions. She either chose to achieve her goals through subversion and terrorism, which makes her evil, or they know no other way, and then they're simply monsters like Aliens or Tyranids.
Alknix Ah, I get you now. And yes, you're absolutely right. Although, if the case was for the former, what other way could she have gone about it? Maybe I'm just over-thinking it here, but I don't suspect many ponies would have warmed up to her is she flat out requested to drain their love. It's a bit of a paradox, but that's what makes it intriguing. Again, it just might be me reading between the lines, but that's what I thought about it.
CrimsonEbonyTears It is indeed intriguing. Would coexistence be possible? Could the 'lings just try to live among ponies in disguises, earnestly trying to win over their love rather than force it? Pity they almost never bother to explore and expand any of the arcs they introduce.
There should totally be a battle game. Basically what would happen is that your goal is to reach Queen Chrysalis and defeat her, saving Canterlot and attend the wedding. You basically start inside a house and choose which race you want to be: Earth, Unicorn or Pegasus. Each race obviously has it's own way off attacking and defending. Like a unicorn would know a simple attack spell and an Earth pony would smack you with its hind hoofs. You make your way through different areas of Canterlot, defeating Changelings and mini bosses, solving puzzles and obtaining items, saving NPCs, learning new spells and methods of fighting as you go. Eventually you make your way to the main hall where you find Twilight and her friends. It's up to you to save the day with what skills you've gained throughout your journey. Of course she'd have different types of mechanics that'd you have to watch out for as you get closer to defeating her. And at the end you see a cutscene of the wedding and your character is present as well. This totally should be a game.
I think it was more along the lines of water to them. its one thing to drink a glass of the stuff but when a tsunami comes at you to don't have the chance to drink it all before your pulverized.

But this is probably supposed to be a pun off of "This Day Aria," with the "Final" part being a reference to how this is a final boss battle theme (and "Final Day" may also be a Majora's Mask reference)... Then again, given that the 8-bit original version of this was also titled "Final Day Area," maybe it IS intentional...

Dude. Dude... seriously. I just discovered and checked a few of your remixes (mainly the chrysalis themed one) and... wow dude they are epic they give me chills. seriously keep up the good work.
I just want to let you know that playing this while fighting bosses in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time makes the fights at least 20% more intense. Sometimes I wonder why I combine these things, but then it actually happens and it's awesome.
I agree with you on that- I saw the Canterlot Wedding episodes of season 3, and it was kind of a epic fail on their part to make her so easy to beat especially after she nearly took over the city like that, they could've done so much better...like maybe she becomes drained after a huge showdown, but vows to return to enact her revenge but doesn't get the shit beat out of her by love- that was just stupid!
Go look at the scene where she is pushed back. Do you see that twinkle in the direction that she was flung? That was her. She was simply blasted away, and most likely injured on impact.
I think an awesome setup for this battle would be something along the lines of Chrysalis saying "Enough! The changeling empire will consume all of equestria!" Followed by her transforming into some sort of giant amalgamation of all the previous bosses, And herself. Que the music!
So basically the same thing Zelda has done before in Twilight Princess and the Megaman series has done to death with having to fight the robot masters again.

Good point, but a good parasite knows when it's time to leave the host and allow it to regain its health. Then you return. This happens very often with parasite infections. They stay until noticed, then bail or hide.
These parts are more than likely just put into the song to put a sort of 'sense of urgency' that a lot of boss music instill. Even more so if this is supposed to be a 'final boss' song. I can't off the top of my head thing of other boss songs that have done it, but I've heard it. In short, it's improv to transition the song a little.
Something's been bugging me about this one for a while... Is this a mashup with anything else? Because certain parts of it sound like they're from other songs, but I honestly can put my finger on what those other songs are...
her as a secret boss believing that your facing the final boss :theme and attack and everything: when _______ is defeated this song just comes out of nowhere and what ever health,magic, etc. you have left your gonna have to face chrysalis :P that would be a twist and challenge
Specifically, I'm having trouble figuring out where the part around 1:39-1:50 is from. It's definitely not from This Day Aria, but there's a part similar to it in your "Changeling Showdown" boss remix which makes me wonder.

Imagine the fight. She would turn into several terrible creatures as the battle progressed. Hydra, Cerberus, windego, and cockatrice come to mind. Perhaps her final form would be an Ursa Major!

The 3 changelings will transform into Discorded!Mane 6. the first set: Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity. once you get past Diamond Dogs, Discord will bring the other 3, the more powerful ones for their reasons, up as well, and revive those who were defeated: Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle.
Hmmm... I'd say that she has 2 elite changelings by her side that respawn in a few turns when killed. The three of them are capable of doing the best moves of the Mane 6. Chysalis is the only one who can copy Celestia and Luna/Nightmare Moon. All of them can heal HUGE chunks of health by absorbing love. As a last resort, she would turn into Discord and put nearly all status effects (including a death countdown) on your party.
I can see myself playing fighting is magic and Chrysaus being a hard as fuck boss that you need the mane six to beat her on "pinkiepie mode" (to me that would read: hard as fuck) and just trying to beat her for hours with my heart racing.
I see callback instead of transform into friends, though her 3 changelings will turn into discorded!mane 6. In order: Nightmare Moon, Trixie, Iron Will, Diamond Dog(s), (The 3 changelings will change into diamond dogs as well, if still around.) Discord. (6 or less changlings will appear, depending on how many are left: Any alive will be restored to full health: After Chrysalis transforms into discord, the player has 10 turns to defeat her.)
I think it's stupid how Chrysalis was defeated by love. She eats love for breakfast. LITERALLY! It's like a human being defeated by a magical sandwich! "Oh, boy, I'm gonna eat my sandwich!" "YOUR REIGN OF TYRANNY IS OVER! BACK TO WHENCE YOU CAME, FOUL DEMON!" "Wait, what?! Sandwich, you can talk?!" "DIE!" "AAAAAAAAAA NOOOOOOO!"
I dunno man... we can be defeated by doughnuts..... Imagine the heart attack we could get if hundreds of doughnuts climbed into our mouths? Not only could we be choked, but also die of severe heart disease, diabetes, etc. Any overdose is bad.

I dunno. Super Chrysalis as I described her wouldn't be that bad - just a race against time similar to the final Sin fight in FFX. (If you haven't played to that point, Sin has a meter and once it fills up, he annihilates you, airship and all) Second, you just described a 4th form for a final boss. Last final boss in an RPG I remember with that many forms is Melbu Fhrama (Legend of Dragoon, and I probably butchered the name).
