This video makes me dislike nowadays even more. Things seemed better back then. People were more levelheaded, social, kind-ER, fun and ect. We really did lose our way.
The pandemic would not have worked back then. I was in high school in 1999, and people would have tremendously freaked out. People are freaking out now, but back then, there would have been absolute chaos. I can't imagine wearing a mask and standing 6 feet apart back then.
I'm not from these times but, I'm noticing that most guys now a days are pussies. That one guy who asked out that girl did it with such ease when some guys now a days would not do it cause of fear. Times were different.
Yeah, people weren't afraid of rejection back then. I was in high school in 1999. I asked all kinds of girls to school dances. Times were different then.
Even tho most of my nostalgia comes from the late 2000s and the whole of the 2010s, I always have a strong yet limited connection with the early 2000s Even tho was born in 2003. Something about it feels like you almost miss it. Watching this is kinda watching the prequel to my generation. Like when teachers of ur school mention a past graduate from the 90s or 2000s, it's like a nice little reference/easter egg to a beloved character who's no longer one of the main characters anymore and that person has gone on to live their life while you've taken the torch.
I graduated in 2001. As much as I disliked high school, I miss it so much. Thanks for all these videos - different school, but the vibe brings me back!

High School. Watching Videos like this gives me a good feeling but also makes me think how no matter how good my Year was going there always something nightmarish happening to me. I remember I liked this girl a lot and one day In class after Lunch I was holding this fart for like 20 minutes, looking at the clock every 5 Minutes so when class was over I was at my locker and let It out and she was behind me with a group of kids. Them dudes clowned me so bad I wouldn't look at her for the rest of the Year. Every time we were In passing of each other I would look every direction but straight ahead. Looking back at It now It's like who cares but back then my soul was crushed. Ah High School good times.
It's always scary seeing something from pre-9/11. I wonder the lives of all the people in this video now are as we're in another life-altering pandemic. I was graduating elementary school when this was happening. Geez.
Niiiice, My Cousin Lived in Glendora For a Few Year's, My cousins are all from Pamona/San Dimas, it's a Pretty Cool place. I really Luuuuv how all the Kids are Actually Talking to each other & Making Eye contact & Not On their Phones & social media. On My Opinion & either all Due Respect to today's kids, that time was just more Simple & Real.
Last day of school during that era feels so weird knowing that everyone you knew, you won’t be able to see them again or have contact with them, compared to this generation when you can just have them on social media and stay in contact.

In my country 17 years old must study for the exams that will get them to university so they don't even go to school the last weeks and therefore they don't remember moments like these seen in the video

There’s something indescribable about the last day of school. The amounts of stored up spiritual energy that these kids have from being processed through the public school system finally about to be released into the real world to experience the absurdity that is the “real world” but for me it was a beautiful reflective somber melancholy moment. I had a lot of self awareness at the time and was also very sensitive and due to hallucinogens I was removed from living in the moment at the time so I was able to reflect a lot on my life as a highschool student in the early 00s as it was happening

The girl at 9:40 I'm convinced either hooked up with camera dude, dated camera dude in the past, or secretly she wishes she had his junk in her mouth at all times. I've never met any of these people, but this one seems very obvious to me. She keeps saying "never gonna see you again, but that's ok"....clear sign that wishes she was not actually seeing him for the last time possibly or that shes trying to act like it didn't bother her that he hit it and quit it even though she liked it. High school chicks are so easy to figure out its insane.
Not these days buddy or even in 2001, In fact, my high school was so academically ahead of my cousin's schools in California. They didn't even have to use proper punctuation and grammar for a school paper!
