😨I watched this movie when it was release in cinema during my teenage years, scared the crap out of me, made me not to take flight over some years, damn good thriller movie hope you all complete doing reaction to the whole final destination franchise my fav was pt 3😨
Final Destination has always felt so unique as a franchise. There is no Michael Myers. No Ghostface. No Jason. No physical force you have to escape from. You can run from death all you want. But unlike most slasher villains, it will not relent. It will always be looming over your shoulder. And it does not like to be cheated.
@rachaelhogan7850 first one was the best, second was alright, but last into first was a nice touch(if you know, you know) the rest were kinda meh because it became repetitive 👍
@@rachaelhogan7850 It really is a good example of wearing a good thing out. It was unique, at first, but if there's a franchise abuse opportunity, WE ALL IN! And again, and again, and and and...
I have to actively remember that some people were born and not even old enough to watch R rated movies when I was, so not seeing them until later makes sense because they'd be "old movies" to them even by the time they were old enough. If that makes any sense 😂. My mind finally made it make sense (even though I have to remind myself that I am not in fact still in my 20s 😅) ... getting older wild af.
Yeah we are just getting old homie lol. When bro said he was 1 when this came out that completely made sense to me as to why hed never seen them. I remember watching this with my mom when I was like 7. She already knew I wouldnt be scared or whatever after having seen childs play the year before 😂 but yeah some of these movies just dont come to light especially with how these movies have been gapped
@@RoxxyFlyLmao i wasn’t even born when this movie came out but i know the franchise and watched until like the 3rd or 4th movie, and i don’t really like movies like this hahah
@@m3ntyb To be fair they're just really late, They seem close to my age and I seen all of these, Seen FD2 when on dvd when i was like 8 or 9 , i'm 29 now, My little brother who is 26 saw them to
Fun fact: The initial script for this film was written to be an episode of the X-FILES series, including a large part of the team involved in this film worked on The X-Files.
Wellllllll this isn’t exactly accurate. You are right that the creator (Jeffrey Reddick) had the plan for it to be an X Files episode and Bob Shaye told him it was a movie in its own right. It was Bob Shaye who brought Glen Morgan and James Wong in. They are the X Files guys. They rewrote the screenplay based on Jeffrey’s original script. But it was not intentional on Bob Shaye’s part. Bob didn’t know Jeffrey had written it for X Files.
I did not know that. Would have made for an interesting x-files episode but then we wouldn't have gotten the great paranoia inducing franchise we have now.
If you think this was crazy, wait until Final Destination 2. It gets really wild, and there are tons of Gen Xers and Millennials forever scarred by it.
Here's a cool fact: the bus death was all practical. They made a special dummy that would get hit and splat, and they spliced the cut from her to the dummy so well you can't tell.
The blond guy in the jersey, is Sean William Scott he was a popular actor and comedian of the early 2000's. Some of his most popular movies are Road Trip, American Pie, Dude, Where's My Car, etc. and fun fact he makes a reappearance in Final Destination 5. He was well known for the time. The black man in the morgue is Tony Todd, the actor famous for the Candyman horror movies from the 1980's; he's character represents Death and some theorize he is actually the spirit of death that is hunting them in the film--that's why he knows so much about them, death's actions, etc. and why he doesn't care about the break-in.
I started watching this franchise way too young and its existence is why I have bad anxiety when it comes to driving. Final Destination 6 just started filming and coming out 2025
Last year I ended up behind a log truck. Would have changed lanes but too many cars in the other lane and I needed to get to class. Ended up just spend the time waiting for my exit just having flashbacks to final destination.
@@jessaminedavis1526 my mom had to drive me over the bridge for my dad’s weekend in the neighboring state while there was ongoing construction, and all I could think of was the fifth film.
My brother lives 100 yards from a small lumber company. Two of those trucks per week go right by his house. He said one of the drivers told him he could always tell when somebody's seen the movie cuz he always ends up with a small army of cars behind him that refuse to pass lol.
Great franchise Tony Todd represents death and is so good at being dark and sinister. You guys should check out Candyman the original and new one. If you haven’t seen it GET OUT is an obvious choice and a modern classic, THE BABADOOK, and not a horror film but watch THE IRON CLAW.
The Candyman was disappointing to me. Not terrible but kinda boring. I only watched it, 'cause I became an instant "fan" of Tony Todd from the Final Destination movies. Man, is that dude awesome 😄
The new candy man is a great continuation of the first film, it expands and deepens the law, mythology, and history of the candy man and gives it real meaning its a great film.
At 4:15 when it showed a picture of a statue and "This is the End." That's a picture of the Memorial statue of Jim Morrison of the 60s rock band THE DOORS. Morrison died in 1971 at 27, part of the 27 club. "This is the End" is the opening lyrics to "The End" from their debut album.
Clue (1985) a classic comedy whodunit based on the boardgame starring Tim Curry; The Addams Family based on the series and comic strip, starring Christina Ricci, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, and Raul Julia.
SUGGESTIONS: 1.) KILL BILL franchise!!! 2.)The Walking Dead 3.) What We Do In The Shadows indie comedy flick and then a spin off series which is some how even funnier. (Taika Waititi at his greatest!) 4.) Sons of Anarchy 5.) The Prestige (one of thee greatest mystery movies!) 6.)Knives Out (Best mystery movie in recent history)/ 7.)True Blood 8.)Orange Is The New Black 9.) Mission Impossible franchise
One more thing: how do you guys call Billy just "that guy"? Do you not recognize him as Stifler from American Pie? Are y'all too young to have had American Pie as a hallmark movie in your teen years? God, I feel ancient 💀💀
I don't know if you're only taking horror recommendations but i'm gonna recommend Baby Driver (2017) anyways if you haven't seen it yet. Not a horror film but more drama/action. Amazing cast /great acting and overall plot. will not disappoint!
The next movie series should be SAW. It’s very creative with the deaths and the story of each movie ties in very well. That’s how I feel about Final Destination as well. Creative deaths and the 5th movie ties in with the 1st. I love when a movie franchise fits the stories like a puzzle.
Loved loved the Scream series. Then followed you through the Conjuring series and now I can't wait for you guys to go through this one. Scream is still my favorite though. ❤
MOVIE SUGGESTIONS THAT ARE REALLY GOOD The Visit (2015) Flightplan (2005) The Taking Of Deborah Logan (2014) Chronicle (2012) Apocalypto (2006) No Escape (2015) Creep (2014) Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004) Skeleton Key (2005) Scott Pilgrim vs The World (2010) The Impossible (2012) Uncut Gems (2019) Split (2016) P2 (2007) Paranormal Activity 1, 2, 3, 4 AND 5 (2007-2015) Constantine (2005)
Not horror related but please react to "Selena" 1997 The true & tragic biopic of the great 90s Icon SELENA! grab tissues , she was truly something special .
Always excited to watch anyone react to this series. Already excited for when you watch the others. Also a cool fact they did a little foreshadowing of how Todd, Billy and Terry were gonna die way earlier in the film. When Todd was threatening Alex to not move out of his seat so one of the girls can sit next to him he does a strangling motion showing he was gonna die from strangulation, when Billy is staring at the plane take off the reflection of the plane is flying across his face hinting how his face was gonna be sliced in half, and Terry is standing in one scene where on the wall behind her was a painting of a bus.
Nice choice! This movie is the reason I didn't step on a plane until I was in my 20s 🤣You will definitely pick up various traumas along the way. Other horror series to consider: Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Insidious. / TV shows: American Horror Story, Buffy the Vampire Slayer / Standalone movies: Black Swan, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, "Grindhouse" (Planet Terror/Death Proof double feature), Jennifer's Body.
I believe this was the first movie that had a death from suddenly getting hit by a vehicle from out of nowhere. When I saw it in the theater everyone was shocked.
I'm a huge fan of this series. The first two films are by far my favorite but I like all 5 films. Can't wait to see your reaction to other FD films. Alex is still the greatest protagonist in the series plus his acting was brilliant!
Series *Bates Motel series on Netflix *New Goosebumps series on Disney+ Movies *I know what you did last summer- 1&2 *The Faculty (not a franchise but a good time) lol
Love this movie. Kerr Smith (Carter) played the Sheriff in My Bloody Valentine 2009 and Devon Sawa (Alex Browning) plays in the new Chucky TV Show. The Clear Rivers actress played Claire Redfield in the Paul Anderson Resident Evil movies. This was a great movie. This and Final Destination 3 are easily my favorites thanks to them both being directed by James Wong.
Can we please point to other works of Kerr Smith like Dawson's Creek or The Fosters. "My Bloody Valentine (3D)" was so idiotic I could never forget it. They obviously put too much development time into the 3D effects. For example in the source material there is a 20 year gap between the mine disaster and the party but in the 3D version the party happens - completely tonedeaf - just 1 year after the disaster. And the reveal is also so convoluted and not thought through in any way... it's maddening.
Flight 180 was actually based on TWA flight 800 Some similarities between the two. Both are B747's Both left JFK Airport. Both had a class of students onboard. Both planes were heading to France. Both planes blew up not long after takeoff. When you see Alex watching the news, you actually see footage of TWA flight 800's burning remains in the water.
23:35 "i don't trust dat leaf" 😂😂😂 killed me hehehehe! great react -i love that these films keep you guessing as to whats going to happen during the scene - they get really good at this through the whole series hehe
These movies will scarred you for life... I hate planes, heights, roller-coasters, tanning beds, dentists, elevators, highways, bridges, ladders attached to buildings, car washes, pools (still use it, if its humid outside), log trucks (also death trucks in Kdrama), nail guns, pigeons, gymnastic, mechanics, race tracks, eye place, train tracks, knives, am I missing anything else that scarred you.. I just realize that you guys notice a lot of demonic signs, I never watched someone who sees all the signs right off the bat. It's refreshing to see that, looking forward to seeing your reaction to all of the movies. :)
So producers said that they literally do brain storms with team, and they literally ask what they think is very normal, that almost everyone has experienced but also easy to make it scary and deadly, and that is how they come up with scripts, like here plane crash. Actually the death by bus that you talked about so much, it was mostly practical and old style camera work, it was one of the hardest one to pull of bc they really wanted to do everything practical. Really any interviews are great to watch, when they talk about proces behind it, it is wow, great job people 👏🏻. For me 2 and 3 are favorite but like some comments said they made most milenials scared of some things, and it is real, I won't say anything, but I will comment when the times comes, but every one that saw this movies then, now always have this movie scenes in head in some situations.... They really prey on human fears...
I agree with you I love Final Destination 3 & FD5 the most but some scenes from FD3 mainly are what scared me for life. Unfortunately I did watch Final Destination 3 when I was a kid which I shouldn’t have but I did 😕. If I’d watch it now I wouldn’t be so scared being as though I’m older.
@@davidlewis6752 yes I also watched them short after they come out, I was teen, I actually had biggest fear of ships bc as kid I watched documentary about Titanic, and I'm mid 30 and I can tell you I was on sea 2 times as on transport on sea.... (I'm ok with lakes and boats). And in docu they were talking what happened and show some underwater things, but in this movies they show more... So no wonder 2 and 3 with how it starts made such inpact.... i never was on "3 movie topic" bc they scared me, I only think that I will fall.
People always tell stories of small things such as a missed bus or broken alarm saving them from 9/11 and other disasters similar to this movie but You can also look at the opposite effect, all the times countless people have died because of minor things. World War 1 started because of a sandwich (seriously look it up), the Titanic could've been saved but one guy lost his keys to a safe that had binoculars in it so he missed the iceberg. It sounds crazy but these both happened like dominoes
You guys should check out the other Devon Sawa movie from the year earlier 'Idle Hands'. It's a Horror/Comedy also starring Jessica Alba, Seth Green, Elden Henson & Vivica A Fox.😊
You should watch Wrong Turn, there's 6 of them... or JoyRide trilogies, ... can you give Kdrama a chance...there's a show its called: All Of US IS Dead, its about Zombies, its on Netflix.... its in Korean with English subtitles, there's a second season, coming out soon... There's also Weak Hero Class 1, Moving, they are amazing tv series/movies, but Kdrama/Cdrama style.
Oh no... what have you started.. (Sin City, Godfather, Back to the Future, Evil Dead, The Ring, Sinister, Blair Witch Project, The Grudge, Stanley Kubrick movies)
The fact that you guys didn’t know who the Stifmeister was broke my millennial heart! Go watch American Pie! Bonus Candyman was a little before my time but I still know who he is. Both from my childhood!
I always loved the movie but it's a bit jarring how much the first 1/3 or so is pretty close to a fairly serious drama and not bad at it, then the rest... let's just say there's a major genre shift. Probably a good choice because some of the unalivings are really sad, particularly his best buddy and the teacher. Horrors like this are generally better when they're fun. The teacher's... I mean really. She was a bit of a dick, but didn't deserve all that. Super cringe.
The movies lean more toward silliness going forward, but it's great. My favorite is Final Destination 3. I’d love to see a reaction to Orphan and Orphan: First Kill unless ya’ll reacted to it already.
We need the X franchise! Pearl & x are so so good! You’re next is stand alone but it’s PHENOMENAL the final girl is nothing but a bad ass who always double taps! Scream the tv show the first two seasons are so good! Season 3 was a reboot that used the same voice & mask as the movies but it’s not as good as the first 2 seaons.
I love the FD movies, This story was originally meant to be an X Files episode until writer James Wong thought it worked better as a movie, by the way would love to see your reaction to the brilliant 2015 horror movie ‘we are still here’ it's pretty creepy and gory for a ghost story.
