I only just got the platinum for this game yesterday, as my 100th plat milestone. So this DLC is perfect timing, as I hated it when its ages afterwards and I have to relearn the controls again. Really loved FF16 and glad some clarification of Leviathan now

Con-cid-ering that Cid is the best character in the game, hands down, it would be interesting to see some foreigner work for Barnbas, find Benedicta, then leave to become an outlaw. Honestly, it sounds better than the main games story
Leviathans Dominant will also be a child, who was sick with a terminal illness and sacrificed themselves to freeze time to stop a catastrophe. Which is why things in the dome are frozen in place and the we will have to battle Timekeeper enemies in order to fix things.
Plot hole: Seeing as Leviathan was absorbed by Clive, shouldn't that have meant that the vessel i.e. Mythos was complete, thus meaning that Clive survived the final battle with Ultima?
If I remember correctly when final fantasy 16 released they also said the same exact thing about any DLC.. they said that there was no plans at all for any DLC. When behold look at what we got after about 9 to 10 months of them doing what I can only assume is God's work and creating this echoes of the fallen and rising tide. I was working my way through my second playthrough after beating the game the first time, when they released eotf, so I have yet to even play through echoes. I have a feeling that they have a few more things in store for Clive and the group which I hope so because I actually reminisce over the possibility of what could have happened when I think about that world and how lively it actually seems..... As far as any more DLC in my opinion? They verbatim said a almost identical thing regarding more content when they released final fantasy 16 back in June of 2023, so if we, the fans, create a loud enough cacophony of sound, maybe we can get some more? Although I'm sure my feelings may change after playing echoes of the fallen and rising tide with what they've done I have yet to play echoes so maybe my opinion is just not a complete package. I am about 80% maybe a little less through final fantasy 7 rebirth and had planned on going back to 16 after so maybe by then I'll be ready to boot up echoes and RT?
They obvioulsy said that to keep it quiet. Weird I know, but as the first DLC came out in such a short time, it shows they were already working on it. Nice rant though.
I hope they give us. More eikon moves for everyone. Especially for ifrit. The ones that your infernal shadow does would be amazing to use. I hate how videos games have the same character do awesome shit but for some reason you can’t use it
Even though ff7 rebirth had ass minigames, its combat system has spoiled me and ff16 feels clunky now with dodging and limited aerial combat. When i tried base game recently i just got bored in 5 mins of playing i hate clives weird hops for dodges. And i think guarding should be a general thing, not just locked behind titan.
I want to play this game on PC. I am not willing to buy a PS5, yet I already considered that, but it's just not worth for me! I only want to play FF16 haha
I heard in an intervju that while they enhenched it, They sadly could optimized it further without breaking down the whole engine. In short. They are aware of the issue. And it seems the finished models is what kills the engine.
Yall gotta stop buying this DLC garbage. It just shows producers that they can take advantage of it to make profit over you hand over fist. Its making all large titles less complete on release and turns them into these tasteless abused bleeding milk cows.
While I see your point, they wouldn't have released any DLC whatsoever if fans didn't make enough noise. Leviathan was omitted from the base game because they poured a shit ton of the budget into the Bahamut fight. Yoshi-P seems like a genuine guy and FF16 had souls poured into it. It's a real work of art. He even gave FF14 players one week to finish Shadow of The Erdtree before playing Dawntrail.
