@@neku2741 Kitase is kinda insane too from what some interviews are about, apparently it was his idea to redo FF7's story rather then Nomura's which is kinda hard to believe.

@@Evilriku13 Doesn't surprise me. Kitase was the one during the OG's development who wanted to kill off the whole dang party except for three during the Midgar Raid, and it was Nomura who pulled everyone back to killing just one. To be fair, that was way early in development and they were just throwing out ideas, but Kitase has always been that way, haha.

Lmfao this cracked me up. XD But jokes aside, FF7Rebirth is intended to release "next winter" meaning Dec 2023 or Jan-Feb 2024 (Q1). FF16 is summer 2023, which is June (Q3). They aren't competitors, rather they keep the Final Fantasy series in the limelight like never before.

@@Lelouchxzero1 that’s what I hate most about western Square Enix fans; 80% of them focus only on the Square half of the company, and not the Enix.

@@paperluigi6132 well, Enix isn't a devolper it's a publisher. It held the rights to the franchises and outsourced to other devolpers to make the games for royalties. So Square a mostly game developer merged with a publisher that happened to hold the rights to things like Dragon quest and Star Ocean

@@dieptrieu6564 I think maybe it could be a remake (or demake in some regards) of the compilation that stays true to the overall story of the compilation. That way they can fill in the original story for new fans and somewhat satiate the old fans who are upset that FFVIIR diverges from the original. That's my hope at least. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that there isn't going to be a world map or much free roam. I'm betting it's going to be a hallway chapter system. I also wish that they kept the ATB system for EC, but I understand that that is a potential turn-off for a lot of modern gamers, especially those not in the JRPG sphere. Not trying to be a downer, it's just that knowing square I've learned to temper my expectations a bit.

Advent Children is already on Netflix, so maybe soon on Disney+ :p

@@softia42 I just rewatched ACC again to celebrate the Rebirth and CC Reunion announcement, and it legit would fit right in the Disney+ catalog. Surprised it hasn't happened yet, considering how everyone jokes that FF characters are also Disney property thanks to KH. I can only imagine what a sequel would be about... Cloud & gang vs post-Remake Sephiroth if that is still a thing. Or they could try adapting any of Nojima's other FFVII novellas. Or, it's not a sequel but a prequel and it's an original story about Sephiroth or the "one true First Soldier", lol.

I'm looking forward to it, but still salty that it's gonna be a ps5 exclusive (as far as we know)

@@silverreaps6803 Winter starts on December 22nd and ends on March 21st, its a 2024 game, SE won't drop two major FF titles in the same year they wanna spread em out to profit more during their fiscal years.

Since young!Sephiroth is most likely a child, hopefully not! Young!Sephiroth and Cadet!Cloud though. 🤔

I thought of that but I have doubts they'd reuse 'Reunion' when they're already attaching that to Crisis Core. If Rebirth ends with Aerith dying again then I think 'Requiem' would be an apt way to name the final part.

@@thefreeburningspirit Final Fantasy VII: Relapse A dark and harrowing look into Cloud's inability to deal with the grief of Aerith's death in which he turns back to getting zonked in a tub of mako in some dingy basement.

Could be ff7 rewind so all the milking starts anew for more 25 years of failing to move on and create new final fantasies.
