i think he vaguely mentioned enjoying this scene back in october in nycc on the voice actor's panel and then he mentioned it again in another article/interview.

Did anybody catch how this is a fullfillment of the little boy's promise to Cloud from Remake? The hideout moogle kid said moogles exist to put smiles at everyone's faces. Cloud responded to him - make me smile than. He said - "need a lot more medals Kubo!" and it finally happened! After a LOT more medals, the actual moogles DID make Cloud smile for a moment there! How is that not the most wholesome thing we've ever seen happen to Cloud, ever?

I expected Cloud to annoyed as usual but to see him enjoying himself for once - seriously this is the happiest I ever think I've seen him. With the remake making changes from the original, I like to think I know how it ends... Tifa: Now that we saved the world, I wonder what we should do next? Oh, how about we start a package company?! Cloud: I don't think so, I already found my calling. I'm going back to the Moogles and live as one of them. Tifa: Huh????

I hope Moogle Cloud returns in the 3rd game as a playable form for Cloud especially when you enter into an alternate moogle universe after you enter mog house where cloud and pals shall turn into cute moogles. We need the option to play as Moogle Cloud. Not just for battle but also in the overworld outside of battle

Now this is the classic, Final Fantasy goofiness I missed. I used to love these moments of levity. They’re such a nice break from the serious story beats.
With the realism designs and things such as compilations that developed over time with FF and the FF7 it has mostly disappeared. These light hearted moments like you said are what gave old FF that appeal. Glad they found a balance among the realistic graphics (I did wonder how tgese things woukd have been done since the cartoon/anime style and low poly woukd no longer exist). Also, glad to see Cloud out of his shell here.
Cloud smirked after saying kupo at 2:20 cus he knew he was doing a funny, think that’s the first time he intentionally said something funny😂 was nice to see
The moogles are always so adorable, kupo! Wish there were gameplay sections, where Cloud could transform at will into his moogle form and fly around for a short period. Such a wasted opportunity, kupo!
This reminds me of the Snake Vs. Monkey minigame in MGS3, though Cody's voice isn't infused with as much comical enthusiasm as David Hayter's voice saying "GOTCHAAAAA!!!!" every time Snake caught a monkey lol it fits Cloud's character though.

Is Moogle still the same VA as KH’s Chirithy? Seems abit different for the voice, then again there was a time gap between the games so her voice could fluctuate.

In the alternative universe to ours: now that we're finished with FFVII Midgard remake, get ready for our next game. Cloud turns into a Moogle, what an unexpected turn of events! He finds new friends and the game will revolve around wonderful life in the forest.
I like to think that even if we're only focusing on the three universe's, I also like to think there is a universe where everyone is moogles, and instead of moogles houses you go to human houses to do these mini games.
We need all the heroes in ff7 to turn into cute moogles. Moogle cloud needs to be an alternate version of cloud to play as in the next game since hes so cute as a moogle
The reason why Cloud has better reception of him transmogrified into a Moogle than a frog is because he already saw first hand on how Moogle can still kicks ass just as much as humans can in the way of a Chocobo and Mog duo summon during his numerous encounter battles.
