No mate, hard mode sidequests are not required for platinum. I was just slowly doing hard side quest guides

@@chani7464 Wont be doing anymore Remake 1 guides, but I have a comment somewhere showing how to easily beat all hard bosses on Intermission, search my name in the Remake threads on PSNprofiles, may be one of my last few comments on that game
