Important tips: 1) Windstorm damage is weaker if Yuffie’s weapon is stuck in an enemy somewhere. Be sure to Retrieve the ninja weapon before casting Windstorm. 2) After several uses of Windstorm, Yuffie will have charged up her Banishment gauge to Max level III. You can use this on the staggered/fallen orange Gigantuar for a MUCH bigger chunk of damage than a Windstorm would yield. 3. Art of War is great for beating up the green cacti, but if one or two stragglers are running around the perimeter, use Blindside against them, instead of using Art of War. Blindside isn’t as strong as Art of War, but it’s a guaranteed hit.
Windstorm helps a lot, the key is to only use it when you have your weapon on you to get maximum damage. It gets rid of the orange bastards a lot faster.
Thank you!!! I spent an hour with this stupid fucking mini game and decided to check some comments. You are right. When you have your weapon on hand you can use windstorm to elimate all orange cactuars and when you don't have the weapon use windstorm to elimate green cactuars
I did all in Melee mode (no throwing the weapon, only time i throw weap is to get closer to green ones trying to run away) and got 1 min 30 sec to spare easy. All I need was Windstorm to deal with orange, Art of War for Green, Doppelganger on pretty much throughout the whole minigame, Banishment for Golden giant and orange giant after they body slam (if built up from other atb commands, pretty much 1 shot either of those giants with Banishment level 3)
Thank you to all you folks in the comments. Using Windstorm as soon as I could against the majority of them was clutch. Then to clean up the 3-4 stragglers with Blindside was perfect. Without your advice, there's no way I could've ever gotten close to top score
Its amazing what you learn with practice. I went from not even being able to get 1k score to finishing the whole round with over 1:30min left. I love how this game rewards those who experiment with different options.
I seriously don't get wtf I am doing wrong. I have all the other hard mode ones done, but this one seems bugged where the Cacti are set to extra hard mode and just tweek out spamming nades and running around like crackheads no matter what I do. Wish I could find a video with audio commentary that explains wtf to do.
@@lilfarmboi1081 Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned it is Yuffie Hard 3 that I am stuck on. All the others are done. The other hard Yuffie one I beat first try so I don't get why this one is giving me so much trouble.
That’s my bad I find aerith challenges harder. For this I try to build atb fast just to spam blindside and kill them fast. That’s the main focus but yea have to spam dodge at the same time there’s no really tips apart from that sorry.

I hate and never windstorm just cause It forces you to move up on them but for this challenge it’s not so bad. I like don’t like to stay close, its faster to kill with windstorm but is more risky to take hits.
I love this game and hate the mini games! Funny thing is i was so excited about the mini games but now i say fuck them. Mainly only this one and the robot mini game are fucked in my opinion. I understand that things should be hard but this isnt hard its pull your hair out annoying because of how simple it actually is and i think thats the problem. Most people who complete this do so out of luck and the fucked up thing is once you beat it you can probably do it on repeat after that but for those of us stuck on it its well like i said annoying. Im no trophy hunter but i do like to level out my players before i complete a game and i need that damn party exp, it was to the point that i just beat the game on normal and im on chapter 13 on hard and i dont want to continue till i get the folio's complete. Sorry i didnt add any helpful information but hopefully this comment helped some of your anger as i know my anger stops when i read about everyones trouble with this challenge.
I'd already have the platinum trophy if there weren't these stupid mini-games. Still my best score is 5800...Really Square you pissed me off and millions of people with this typical Japanese STUPID mini games!!!🎉
Doppleganger active throughout the whole match makes this a cakewalk. Having hermes shoes and atb regen stuff helps. I had 1:37 left at the end when I did it.
I came into this game so excited and happy it was coming out but I utterly hate this game at this point. It just isn't fun, there is nothing enjoyable about it. It feels like a fucking chore mixed with movie after movie after movie after movie after movie after chore after movie after movie after chore after chore after chore. It's so fucking exhausting. This is the last BS minigame I have to complete to get this plat done and I just hate this shit, I seriously hate it. Her targets auto switch, the damage is crap, the description of the action is shit, it's just terrible. What a letdown, worst gaming letdown I have ever had.
This is like Final Fantasy 10. Most max stats or secrets weapons are locked behind minigames. Love the franchise but minigames are insanely hard and annoying.
@@raiderglace8641 Last week I was walking through the desert, which is quite normal in this area of the world, and I saw this man get beheaded. Unfortunately it is a common tragedy around these parts. Later on, I found out the reason and, get this, it was because he stuck his nose in something that was none of his business online. I went and told my Father about it as I was distressed and he told me that back when he was younger, things like that never happened because the internet/chat forums did not exist so people did not get comfortable by talking out of turn to people they did not know for absolutely no purpose. It made a lot of sense to me. So do I need a hug? Do you really think so?
This game is carnival trash cheating shit. I been ripped off so much by this and other minigames. I really ended up regretting this by chapter 8 on normal... Just not a great game overall with all this time wasting minigame trash. Is even a story it feels like the same ending? still looking for sephiroth... BORING this is a professional level of poor boring programing. Just such a waste of great art and music wrapped in minigame shit.
