You can use the Shortcut button, toggle the characters and viola, of course you can't put all abilities in there...

It was pretty basic and easy to handle, it was nowhere near Star Ocean or Tales of level for instance, but it did its job at keeping the action going. You can even access other character´s shortcuts from your own without the need to actually switch.

Tip: if the boss is acting very spongy, change tactics. Like the original, it's weak to lightning, focus on staggering then chip away hp with abilities. Using Focus Shot or Focus Thrust when the enemy is already staggered is pointless (the description of the abilities is always displayed at the bottom left).

The bosses does take longer to beat in this. It kinda give me Monster Hunter vibes where they take a long time to kill. Not that it's a bad thing but it can get tiring.

Bosses will obviously be tougher than regular enemies, but if the demo is anything to go by, you´ll still be able to beat them in less than four minutes if you just attack their weaknesses and use your stagger abilities accordingly. Then again...Most people didn´t even bother to check the options menu to change the camera shaking and zooming.

i got it too recently, and i believe it might be still tough. But it took me 3 tries for this boss, but dunno

@@obamakiske bruh It's not even that hard, unless you're literally walking into it's attacks and not guarding. Also, It's more strategy than hack and slash so it might throw you off, you will always take damage, it's more about minimizing that damage and maximizing your output.

It is a lot like FFXV really. Except you can more reliably pause and issue your own actions as u see fit.

It is like FFXV. The battle system in Trials of Mana remake is a little like FF7 remake.

They changed the combat to real time, that removes any interest I had in the remake unless they are offering an alternate scheme that allows the old style.

It has very little ressemblance with FFXIII, basically, only the stagger which l feel is much better this time around because your stagger abilities actually do something noticeable and you can even raise the bar a huge chunk if you cause a Pressured state, which is actually pretty easy to achieve. Plus, you can switch characters in real time, effectively controlling everyone in combat and their ATBs. Other than that, the game is pretty self-explanatory, the abilities tell you if they are damage oriented or focused on stagger building. If you´d rather have a more passive experience, Classic mode does that, it makes the characters dodge and do the basic attacks and you are prompted to use Weapon Skills, Items or Magic whenever an ATB gets filled up, like the original game basically, but with the characters doing something instead of just remaining idle.
