I'm so glad that someone started talking about this game. I thought it was all just a fever dream of my youth. But remembering the final battle, I'm now sure it was an acid trip, not a fever dream.

Now if only THIS game got a Switch remaster.

This is like, one of my favorite games, and has been for the better part of a decade, but since I can't play it anymore, I went looking for content on it, any content. And now I'm here! So, tl;dr, one of my favorite things lead me to a new favorite channel. Thanks for reviewing this game! And for actually being decent about it. Most people pass it over cause of the motion control stuff, but it's just so enjoyable...

*The End* Counter - 5. Five. Realistically it could have been worse

"It was bad, but it was fun." The perfect summary of this game. I wanted more of FF:CC for the GC. I got this. I also got lost. The map is just a picture of a random cartoon overworld. There is no way to use it to know wether you go to the left or right in a fork in the road. The only way to get somewhere is to pick up a signpost, hope for the best and have dumb luck. But as i got impossibly lost, i also got to experience the balls to the walls, mindless action-movie that is this game. I give this game the top score, 5/7.

Crystal Bearers was a fun game imo. Well mostly fun. The story was alright, just one of the kind that makes more sense a second time around. As far as combat is concerned, it was fun to yeet enemies around but drop rates were a pain if you're going for a completionist run. Speaking of completions, I think some folks can say a certain "save the people from the big bad" scenario and aiming for the no less than X amount saved achievement can go headbutt a sandbelt. Overall nostalgia aside, I give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Ah yes, I remember this game and doing vague research on it as a kid since the first game was one of my all time favourites. After I saw it wasn't a proper sequel to the original I just sort of noped out of looking at it lol. It is probably a bit unfair of me to be that way, but dangit I just wanted an actual sequel to the original that took the same art style, music, and aesthetics (probably synonymous with the first point there, BUT IT WAS SO GOOD IT HAD TO BE STATED TWICE!), the same general gameplay of the original, and improved on what was good and addressed what was bad. But nah! We gotta play as the Grandfather of Patroklos from Soul Calibur V (that's what I call the main character in this) and do some gravity stuff. I admit it looks like some dumb fun as you fantastically portray in this golden video (the ending made honestly made me laugh). I hope the remaster of the original does decently enough to warrant a proper sequel. We can only hope!

I looooved this game as a kid. Each area was so unique and it was fun to play a simple adventure game set in the ff universe

I absolutely love this game, no qualifiers, it's just fantastic. My major gripe is the timer on the combat encounters. Like really, if you still have a Wii or Wii U and you just want a fun action adventure game, seriously pick this up

I had this game on the Wii, and I haven't played it in a while. I remember loving throwing people in the garbage dispenser, and chocobo racing. Man, those were good times.

After watching this I'm envisioning a mod being released for the game that replaces all of Layle's voice acting with quotes of Dante or Sonic and somehow not being disappointed of a playthrough of that, lol. Still not as bad as: "ThInK YoU CaN TaKe Me!?!?" or "DoN't FoRgEt Me!" in XC2 though!

This was and still is one of my favourite games just because of the silliness that was lael and the fun times throwing everything and everyone off the edge of the abyss.

I think it's because I'm a shitty purist and I need another crystal Chronicles that's basically the same as the GameCube one with more content.

I remember seeing this game on Nintendo Power back in the day and it didn't look interesting, but literally the main protagonist being that cocky cool guy archetype that imo is best seen in Square Enix games (Ringabel, and Balthier come to mind) I definitely got interested haha

What I don't understand is how main character guy is able lift an entire airship with his gravity powers......yet struggles to lift a substantially lighter anime girl. 😕

Oh my god, this game actually exists! I remember renting this from the local movie rental place when I was like....8. I remember getting as far as the ship... I just beat this game. Its funny how me and kbash's opinion is so similer. Yeah its not a perfect game but its made with heart and stands tall above so many wii games. This is the reason i play and look for hidden gems.

I really like the beach level. Easily one of the coolesf beaches ive seen in a game. It was hard as fuck cause yeah, the combat spawns were brutal

10/10 game very underrated for the time. the fights were more like puzzles then proper rpg battles. the damage from just throwing enemies around was pitiful, so you had to kinda plan out what you were tossing around to kill everything in the time limit. There was also a psuedo hidden boss you could fight by tossing skeletons at other skeletons. tossing 3 together would form a 6 armed bone demon monster that was actually pretty tough to kill.

For some reason I literally took the time to memorize how to beat this game in like 5 hours when I was a kid and beat it over like 20 times, I would literally come home from school everyday and beat it for like 2 weeks straight, it was really fucking fun even though it was completely ridiculous, I honestly kinda wanna play it again, even if it's just because of nostalgia alone.

IDK the more I learn about this game the more I desperately want to play it. Ofc I wouldn't buy a Wii just for this game but if it ever came out for the Switch like I've heard the original is coming I'd definitely buy it. Belle is underrated waifu and also Laura Bailey is a goddess, no matter how bad you think this game's voice acting was.
