Final Fantasy VII (PC): Boss Battle - Safer Sephiroth (1080p HD) 

If this is Safer Sephiroth, I'd hate to see Dangerouser Sephiroth.

This was recommended to me after the Sephiroth presentation.

RU-vid decided to play an ad during the Supernova cutscene. Unacceptable.

Supernova is such a flex and kudos to whoever directed that scene like the menace in Sephiroth's face right as the SUN engulfs him, like to get that effect from such simple graphics is amazing.

Sephiroth: Wipes out the entire fucking Solar System with a single attack but can't seem to kill the three people he was actually aiming at

Bruh I thought at 4:55 the damage done was to one player and I just thought that whoever was the target of that attack just got the actual fricken Ronald McDonald slapped out of them.

Supernova is the most ridiculously over the top move ever.

This isn't even his final form. Remember his whole goal was to absorb the Lifestream and go EVEN FURTHER BEYOND. I hope we get to fight that Sephiroth at the end of the Remake.

I think a lot tend to forget that this game and battle made video game history for one thing alone: it was outright stated that the Safer Sephiroth battle was the first to have music with outright singing in it.

Fun fact: Safer•Sephiroth is a more biblically accurate representation of an angel than the angels of the reinassance paintings

Fun fact: this was the only spoken dialog in the entire game.

i think we can all agree on one thing, that this is one of if not the sickest boss theme

Cloud, Barret and Tifa = CBT.

Level 50-60 is the sweet spot to fight him. Anything higher and youll kill him too fast and skip all the good moments

When I first saw this attack, my Playstation froze. I had to redo that entire section and I was terrible at this game back then as a kid- I barely made it pass Bizarro Sephiroth.

The models are adorable in this game and so is the way they're animated, like the little backwards hop Tifa does after performing an action :3

Man, I thought I was finished the moment I defeat Bizarro Sephiroth but then Sephiroth’s theme started playing and that’s where I knew I’m doomed… It took a lot of tries to finally beat him…THAT SUPERNOVA WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER!!

this fight always went the same for me; exchange attacks for a while until Sephiroth gets pissed and launches the Super Nova... usually by the end of that, Cloud hit his limit and Omni Slash would finish the fight

I remember the first time I beat him after dying to his other forms and this one so many times, I was like, holy shit, is it over? Then you get to the final stage and I was scared I was about to have to go man to man with him, but then it turned around and gave me omnislash right off the bat (which I didn't know even existed the first time I played). It felt like both me and Cloud were ready to just finish this fucker off. Such a fucking amazing game lol

I love how more of the video is the supernova cutscene than the actual fight

Problem is after going through the trouble of grinding to defeat Ruby and Emerald, Sephiroth doesn't pose much of a threat at level 99. Fights over in about 2 minutes

You can tell how much FF influenced the bosses in KH, primarily final form Ansem in KH1 and final form Marluxia in Chain of Memories.

Did my first playthrough of this and powerleveled Cloud, Cid, and Vincent to level 99 and gave them an amazing loadout. Killed Safer-Sephiroth so fast he didn't even get to use Supernova lol

When you finally think the battle is over and this thing drops out the sky

and all the reaction videos with safer sephiroth in the end for the smash trailer got overlooked, no one knows about this :( makes me so sad.

This boss fight bears similarities to a much later game, Sonic 06 in that when the initial form of the boss already took so much effort to defeat, he comes back in a more angelic form. And the heroes are fighting in a strange dimension where only they and him exist, throwing every single thing they have at him

This fight was really frustrating for me. I had to see the super nova cutscene at least 6 times

I think it's always sad to see such beautiful and powerful character die, just because he turned into a "villan". I hope that some day sephiroth can have a true victory.
