I hope he’s HORRIFYING in the 3rd game when fully released. In the OG he sort of fucks off in the 3rd act until the end. So it’d be great to see him doing things.
I thought sephiroth was cool on the first game, but for me this one really elevated him, he has much more of a presence here, the way he manages to mess with cloud's head and manipulate him despite him knowing that he's lying is so amazing, and then there's also... well you know what he did
Knowing the flash back is probably Zach and not Cloud messes with me. Bro is so far gone that he truly believes he’s Zach and even replacing memories for ones he was present for.

Sephiroth became a member or Organization XIII on Remake 💀 I miss when Sephiroth was just mysterious and appeared rarely but when he appeared he was frightening and straight to the point. Remake Sephiroth is overused as fuc# and unecessarily cryptic(and i say that as someone that likes the "speaking in riddles and cryptic dialogue" thing, but not in the way they are doing it here).
My heart was pounding because I thought they were going to add the part when Cloud was beating on Aerith because of the Black Materia/Sephiroth Powerful influence like in the OG . This game def would have gotten canceled for that for sure. Internet would have been rioting.
@@rodnadurthey are saving that for Part 3. Y'know? That actual scene, and the burial scene. We are looking at Cloud's POV, and you know how messed up his mind was. We will most likely see those scenes from Tifa and the rest of the team's POV
While he already had the black materia in hand. Leaving now would be too easy and too boring. So he made things interesting and toy with cloud and the girls.
Like the original, like the remake. Aerith dies AGAIN but she is on par with Sephiroth (showing the manifestation in front of people though the real body is nowhere to be found or dead).
Honestly I think that would have to be last game, and involve sidequests to convince Vincent to tell Lucrecia the truth and get her to leave the cave. Then again with the way Sephiroth’s been following Cloud maybe he could just pop in while you’re there.
@@cathygrandstaff1957 Yeah, I can't wait for his reaction. But Sephiroth is too far gone to be reasoned with. He's completely insane. And no one would forgive him after all of the atrocities he committed. Especially Cloud, Tifa, and maybe Aerith and Zack.
i do hope that something happens that snaps sephiroth back to beeing desent or atleast learn the truth,lucretia is his real mother and maybe wil see genesis back aswel to talk to sephiroth. seph stil thinks jenoava is a cetra but she is not she is an alien lifeform hopefully seph wil learn this and part 3 wil have extra content.
As much as i would find it beautiful, i don't think he would have a reason to care about lucrecia, if not to use her as a clone to guilt vincent and make his unleash Chaos... He's too far gone
I know we’re all consumed by talk of the ending (trust me I’ve got my own conflicted thoughts on that) but the music playing when Cloud tries not to strike Aerith is freaking incredible
@@bradhorowitz2765 Of the music? Yes, it was the only perfect thing about Remake (which I still enjoyed) and it seems like they kept up the quality here. The ending, and how they handled Aerith’s death? I’m… still torn on it. Of course I’m still going to play the game and maybe there’s something that will help clear it up or set it up better, but as of right now I’m wishing they’d either just kept everything the same or just had her evade death in a less complicated way. Personally I was expecting her to make it to the end of part 3 and have to willingly sacrifice herself to save the Planet, but I figure we’re way beyond that now
What do u think happened? Did you get emotional of the ending? Personally, here’s what I think happened-when aerith and sephiroth changed destiny, they allowed multiple worlds (not timelines) to exist. This is why Zack and cloud end up in a world where even if we went by timeline logic (them arriving in midgar) DOSNT MAKE SENSE. We also know that Zack’s world IS NOT OUR WORLD. The universe is constantly trying to “fix” itself thanks to sephoroth’s plans (he seems interested in creating multiple world or going to multiple worlds then finding holy usually by killing aerith). It explains why Zack and cloud are essentially in another time, why Zack STRUGGLES with memory, why Biggs and him seem to always find themselves in situations getting worse and worse. The only way for aerith and cloud in his world to “wake” is for OUR versions to switch conscience with them. Aerith prob knew about those world and used to to spend one last date with cloud who she genuinely wanted or was in love with. The world is dying because of the multiverse changing. She DOSNT know that Zack is alive. seeing her wake cloud up is …off. Marlene and her mom aren’t in the house which you’d think they’d be in. As for what cloud saw, she failed. Sephiroth got the powers of fate or bent to his will/or cloud was too slow/ his aerith died again. And while it’s clear Aerith is speaking to him from the livestream because he is more connected to her than ever before, it’s ambiguous if he understands what happened or if he is ALWAYS speaking to Aerith. As for Zack, because he survived the battles in the life force? And he is already defying tjme, the world he wakes up in the end, is a STABLE world for now. It can’t be the one he initially arrived to because the church didn’t show signs of a death or anyone. @@stevenglover98

Huh! Knowing what I Know about Cloud's true identity in soldier it's.... A very neat and subtle detail that Cloud in his memory and the motion sick foot soldier sound exactly the same. Neat !
I hope they expand on this cus that cliff hanger was so dumb they continue to do that classic anime troupe where they just stand and stair at each other or look at nothing through out the game
why there's no gameplay of kid cloud pushing Cloud to snap out/slow him down against Sephiroth's control? They really skipped the part where cloud beats Aerith because he gave up the black materia and you're controlling back kid cloud. And again, they jumped struggling Sephiroth's control before Aerith's death.

@@iss2681 I think the change was necessary because the influence was still there and even stronger than it was before and Aerith already seen what happened from the original so in doubt the things it’s gonna be different especially towards the ending was vastly different of what happened of part 2 from the original PS2 Game Disc
I like how present sephiroth has been throughout the remakes but I feel like they dialed it a bit too high. We've beat his ass twice now and we're gonna do it again in part 3.
This Is the aspect of Sephiroth that Is fighting...with US,against Sephiroth.See how human Is this One..he's not killing Tifa,he's helping her.He helped the weapon to get RID of the black whispers inside by cutting its skin,and then made the whisper return in surface to release Tifa...in this way he avoided not Just that Tifa could die by mako intoxication,but avoided akso that the whispers took some of her importante Memories,Because with her Memories intact She can help Cloud..And later Is exactly what She does,remembering to Cloud that he's been a Hero Because he was near her the day she had the accident when she was a young girl,whole all the other kids left her alone.THIS Sephiroth is fighting alongside with our party...

I would love if there was a revelation on how Jenova began, or vision in the lifestream in how the Cetra contained It after a final battle. Maybe going further the battle between the GI and the Cetra and Jenova getting involved. Maybe Jenova turned the planet the GI once lived on into her Vessel forcing the GI to inhabit Gaia. So much to the imagination. Very much look forward to the final Game but I am overwelmed on the quality we just experienced.
Can anyone explain to me what the hell was going on at 1:31:20? Why is it mirroring the scene from remake? Is there a reason for that? And why was there another meteor for sephiroth to absorb? I must be missing something
Sephy’s silver eyebrows make it difficult to realise how beautiful he is until you look really close up 😊 having said that, still much prefer the original entry of sephy, more succinct, much more powerful. He only fought twice in the original game, one again a huge dragon, two slashes did the work. Another time using the most powerful magic (firedaga I think) to wipe out all the enemies in one go. And the theme ‘those chosen by the planet’ playing through his scenes, so ominous it sent goosebumps all over my body. ‘Anxious heart’ is also so good then followed up by ‘tcbtp’ when sephy finally broke down and went totally berserk. What an impressive introduction! That is why sephy is so popular in my opinion 😅
1:22:43 Barret should of thought that something was wrong with Cloud considering him being so desperate with the black meteria. Little signs are what friends should know about your teammates
I don't see the reason why Sephiroth turns evil and goes on rampage killing innocent people and I also noticed Sephiroth continue to mess with cloud taunting him trying to make him fall into despai. I wonder if he was doing that so could completely take over his body to revive in the future (3rd Final Fantasy 7) but I could be wrong he could just be doing it just to be an asshole🤣cus I really don't see the point of any of his actions he's intelligent fully self-aware of his actions. it's honestly a shallow god complex compare to Genesis, dude was just jealous and envious of Sephiroth even in the game it questions why he did the things he because he literally startey out as a good guy
Well in the original game he’s doing it partly because he knows it makes Cloud easier to control and IMO because he knows Cloud has taken over Zack’s life and resents that. Remember in CC Sephiroth is somewhat fond of Zack as Angeal’s puppy. With burning the village, it’s an irrational angry reaction but he just found out he was created there, that the village had been sustained by the inhumane experiments being carried out there (they mention the only reason Nibelheim takes in enough money to survive is rent on the Shinra mansion where he was created) and that at least some of them had been turning a blind eye while people like him suffered. I think he lashed out. I’m actually perplexed as to why he didn’t torch the mansion too, perhaps he had enough self-control not to torch the building with Zack unconscious inside. But I also think Jenova might have been partially controlling him.
Well Cloud was the one that technically “killed” him as in threw him down the Nible reactor where he ended up in the lifestream. Which pretty much destroyed most of his body. Also, Cloud always had a weak mind and Hojo experimented on him afterwards injecting him with Sephiroth’s cells making it easy to manipulate Cloud. It’s why Seph is able to pop in and out of his life and control him essentially making him a puppet lol Although Sephiroth was considered the “perfect monster” because his cells didn’t degenerate unlike Genesis/Angeal, Cloud is considered a copy of his thanks to Hojo injecting him and the whole notion of the reunion theory that Hojo wanted to “test out” I do believe during the Nibleheim incident that Jenova was manipulating/controlling Seph for the most part because his mannerisms were so odd
Sephiroth Is controlled by Jenova.Should be clear enough.The Sephiroth with the black Wing Is Always the One which Is controlled by Jenova...But there Is AN other one,AN other aspect which has regained his free Will..and Is the One Who helps Tifa inside the Weapon

@@eigelgregossweisse9563 She is dead. This is the ending of Lost, ending of GoT, the top spinning as Inception ends. An ending that fuels people to talk about it. The first Last of Us was suppose to start a conversation if Joel was the bad guy but the audience was too stupid and thought he was a good dad; so the 2nd one made them outraged by giving the debate ending. Aerith is dead right now. Cloud's in denial so he sees her and everyone else is in grief. Now they have until the end of the 3rd game to figure out if they want to bring her back or not. Rebirth, as in Aerith dies and rebirth" of the original timeline; Sephiroth ever says it in the cutscene.
@@stemike7956Eh, you could say that. But If you see what Red 13 says when Aerith touched him, that's not a hallucination by Cloud. Aerith isn't dead, she's in spirit form, strong enough to be seen. So yeah, depends if they wanna bring back her or not. It's better if she gets brought back because Advent Children has already shown, in fact this is post Advent Children, that Sephiroth/Jenova has been diluted within the Life stream. that's quite severe.
My advice is don't watch it on RU-vid, but you have to play it. I'm pretty sure you immediately looked for the ending on RU-vid without seeing the progress and development of each character, especially for Cloud and Aerith. Trust me, the feeling you get between playing the game or just watching it is very different. For me it makes me sad even though I know Aerith will die
@@jonooo4103trust us it wouldn't matter. We wanted to feel that impact. I can watch the original scene and tear up. Rebirth... The hallucinations ruined it. At first as a viewer couldn't tell if she was alive or dead but ultimately you find out. As your viewing this from clouds eyes essentially. Also casually saying what's up to Zack. That's lmfao.
I'm terribly sorry, but can the character of Sephiroth have at least a little development in 30 years? What the hell does he want? Why, since he is so powerful, he can do nothing but kill and injure women and talk nonsense of course . He's still just a boogeyman with a long katana. Then why all these disclosures of his past and the game of the first soldier?

Cloud received this development, Aerith too (just brilliant!) and Zack and Tifa and even Cissnei! Their relationship is super developed! What about Sephiroth? Where is his dramaturgy? And Vincent still pretends that he knows nothing about Lucrecia

Dear,Sephiroth Will give US some good surprises,of web are patient enough to wait till the end..Already now,if you are able to really Watch and listen and understand,you'll see some things that can lead you on the right way to understand what the devs are doing with his character...but you must look at him not with "clouded eyes" as almost all players are doing.There's not Better secret than a One you Hide in front of the sight of everyone 😜
That isn't Sephiroth. The real one is a mysterious badass who says little and comes across as a genuine danger. When he transforms into a twisted angelic being at the end of the original game, it feels threatening. This limp-wristed imposter with his flimsy black bird's wing poses no threat to anybody and absolutely will _not_ shut up.
