Just realized that each turk has their instrument Reno: Electric Guitar and Drums Rude: Bass and Drums Elena: Piano Accompaniment Tseng: Sax, accompanied by Fast Jazz Drums
And I immediately understood why he doesn't usually get involved when he 1frame stomped me with a synchronized axe kick to the face-- because he's on a whole other level from his subordinates.
Between timeline shenanigans, literal magic and all the crazy stuff that happens in this game, I have to say that Tseng and Elena doing a warmup routine in sync, doing the Akuma stance, and proceeding to fight in perfect harmony to this theme was one of my top 5 hypest moments in FF7 Rebirth.
Technically you can fight him in the original Ever Crisis. Not the current mobile gacha game, but the old Ever Crisis for flip phones. He was a tutorial boss.
@@tsukuneboyYeah, but somehow they are on par in strength with SOLDIERs without any genetic tampering or Mako conditioning, which makes them rather impressive.
That would be fun! One of the things that I would think would be difficult as heck but so much fun would be fighting Tseng, Elena, Reno, Rude and Rufus all at either the same time or not.
@@the_oc_maniac8972 that should be the one. It was so epic in the original when you fight all 3 at the same time that it would be smart to top it with all 4. Or like the guy above me said, just add more Turks scenes/fights! :D
Its between this, and Roche's jazz band fight music! This game FED Tf out of us! Tseng finally stepping in to fight was NOT on my 2024 bingo card. And he did NOT disappoint! We SEE why he's the boss!
Eyyyy glad I wasn't the only one to notice the similarities! Honestly this isn't even the only track that reminds me Xenoblade's OST but it's definitely one of the more prominent ones to do so 😅
The soundtrack is da bomb! And seeing Tseng and Elena fighting together in sync... was blown away! Tseng is no pushover, glad to have finally seen him in action.
Each Turk has its own elemental weakness based on their hair: 1. Reno - Red Hair - Fire 2. Elena - Yellow Hair - Lightning 3. Rude - No Hair - Wind (LOOOL) Just Kidding. Tseng is weak against Ice.
Think about it though, it matches their personalities. Reno is Hot Headed, so Fire. Rude goes with the Flow, so Wind. Elena is Energetic, Thunder. Tseng is cool and collected, Ice.
Im glad that you can juggle the human bosses in this game and send them flying across the world like your party can be, they made the fights against them absolutely fun.
1:21 insane drumming, it reminds me of "Herbie Hancock - Actual Proof". Take inspiration from music legends, and naturally You will have an incredible song. But this was not enough for these Square Enix composers, they had to add epic choirs to the mix, straight from Heroic fantasy movies. This is one of the most groundbreaking song I have heard in a long time. Video game music is really where You can find the most inventive songs, when meanwhile, music as an art, struggles to reinvent itself
This duo theme is the better one imo ...shoulda went more hard on the piano on rude Elena's theme but this has that bombastic cowboy bebop feel ! Love it!
Did I miss Yoko Kanno’s name in the credits for this banger? Straight out of Cowboy Bebop, just like some of Yuffie’s battle themes from Intergrade. GOTY
Rude is the only one who learned to block. The Elena/tseng combo is hard to hit and does good damage but you can basically end the fight instantly in phase 2 (on normal) with a synergy ability into LB into synergy ability, since their formation is too tight and gets splash damaged and the synergy skills have great (perfect?) tracking
I think they really bungled this fight design...literally got a flawless victory with Yuffie while barely trying, just pick an elemental weakness and target one down, dodge roll to the side whenever they're moving. I was so disappointed they never did anything more or interesting, love Tseng, really wanted something epic in a Turk fashion and the music was ok (another track that feels a little out of place but not as bad as Disney Jungle Adventure in Gongaga), but ultra owned by a Yuffie I'd previously neglected the whole game lol...
