Who happens to be a full shadow of himself, only living to summon and defend himself against intruders. But the laughing boi and his funny gang manage to kill him anyway, as the huge amount of years severely weakened him. *The laughing boi and his funny gang wins !* But final twist: the cool badass guardian who refused to go to afterlife finally goes to it, but the boi as well because he's part of the whole dream. His girlfriend and the rest of the party celebrate the liberation of a thousand years of sadness. THE END
The monster in question(Yevon) was slain the moment Yuna saw its true colors. The monster here is just a relic that protects a parasite from a bygone era that refused to pass on. Was it worth it though, condemn the whole world into a 1000 year dark age because he was afraid of losing his city?
You would think a titanic monstrosity that could effect the Globe just by breathing could easily swat away team Yuna in an instant. But maybe Jecht was trying to hold back because he sees Tidus
I would assume the music has kept him in a docile state regardless of the attacks. Us attacking him is just insignificant here and I doubt Jecht even understands feelings like pain anymore
Well, I don't know how many times you fled from random encounters or how underutilized Tidus and Yuna were, but I assume those are the reasons. If you wanna get through the game without ever grinding, it's certainly possible, but don't flee from battles and make sure every character gets a piece of the action. Also, try to Overkill bosses as much as possible. I usually have an aeon with the Overdrive gauge full on stand-by. Then, right before the boss is about to die, I summon it and use the Overdrive for more exp., gil and items. That's all there is to it, really.
When i was kid, i had the same problem. I grinded the chracters a lot that, when i got another copy, the game was really easy, i even memorize the cutscene before the game gets crash
Only late game boss I thought was a pushover was Seymour Omnis, all this buildup for the final showdown with Seymour, and you can take almost 0 damage by simply having the proper gear.
