Final Fantasy X Remaster - Boss: Dark Anima 

I hate how much I love the music of FF. Every time I here it I immediately want to put one of the games back on, no matter how many times I've played them.

I adore the idea of just plopping Dark Anima on Mount Gagazet not as a forced battle but making sure you see her just looming over you as a threat you will never topple if approached haphazardly.

I am 41 years old. I loved this game when it came out on the ps2. The game play, the characters (both good and bad) and story (stories ) are amazing. This is an excellent game, a superb masterpiece. I find myself revisiting it on ps3 and transferred to finish on ps4 now. Not only for nostalgia, but I never got to fight ultima weapon and win. No dark aeons. Or penance. Again, an amazing game. Great fight, was great picking up some tricks as well, tyvm.

Still my favorite summon in the entire Final Fantasy Series. Such a unique, badass design

It’s extremely intimidating when the boss will not attack you until the overdrive bar is filled. Makes me nervous.

One of the best designed monsters in all of the FF series imo.

Every time Yuna summons Anima and they do that camera thing where she's looking up at Anima, I swear I can hear her whisper, "Oh, my God..." Like, she realizes she just released a straight-up demon on the world...

I thought i was good at this game And here I am watching this dude dealing breaking damage limit for all characters while having 99999 hp.

Cool win. I never broke HP limit. Just abused riku's overdrive and waka's overdrive hit max damage every hit. It was 5 years ago and I still remember filling in every single node on grid. Worth it

So nostalgic. I love that game. To me this is the best game ever. Why? Story is so touching, the Secrets we had to discover or fight for like the weapons and the secondary finales, besides we kinda be passionate for the characters how they develop and how they join together. Of course there's much more.

Anima is pretty chill compared to other dark aeons, the rest of them just charge and you and most likely kill your entire party in 1 turn if not prepared, but Anima lets you walk up and talk to her to start the fight...

So he drops your strongest Aeon in one hit, but you’re able to “poke” at him with quick melee attacks that do 99999 each & when your party gets low just drop a megalixer & reset to full… sounds like every other FF game ever.

Lol just recalled the insanity of the final fantasy bosses HP.

Back in the days, when I was really young I killed most of the Dark Aeons with Zanmato :P

Watching this made me realize how bad the overdrives were in relation to quick hit. Like seriously, the scaled damage from slice and dice is like 120k at best when the wait time on that is longer than 2 quick hits.

It kinda sucks how the endgame of this title essentially boils down to using quick hit over and over. :/

For people saying this guy is hacking, I was able to achieve pretty much the same stats using a guide. 99999hp, 999mp (don't need more than that), 255 everything else except for evasion and accuracy. Luck contributes to both and also affects critical hit rate. You have to delete all spheres that don't give you max attributes and replace it with purchased spheres that would give you max attributes (from monster arena guy). It ain't hard searching shit up and following what others have done. Just takes lots of time. I achieved max stats at 140+ hours. I'm not good at the game at all. Just decent at following guides lol

Unpopular opinion: i think auto-life is too much a jail-free card since it allowed them to make the secret bosses OP without balancing them. Except Penance, that fight is very technical and balanced.

there's a setting that just lets you use your last used skill rather than scrolling to quick hit so many times.

After almost 20 years since this game release...I realized its not the other half of anima in the lower part, it's the imagination of her power if she wasn't tied up

I’m surprised the Final Fantasy battle background song can be used since I thought most videos using it would get a copyright claim.

No health bar, break limits up, no visible progress by either side until it was just done... This was always my problem with the Final Fantasy X endgame stuff. It all just felt like an exercise in futility.

There is probably a glitch or a loophole that the developers has been made. When an Anima is doing an Oblivion attack on another Anima then the Anima doing the attack should see the unchained Anima also on his opponent Anima. It is because, i think, they can access that same matrix they have beneath their bodies. sorry not a native English speaker here.

Anima is my favorite aeon hands down when i obtained her i was pumped to be using this aeon its design is so cool

Funny how when dark anima uses oblivion on your anima, your anima descends and loses its bottom half.

Anima is one of the best summon designs IMO, it's grotesque.

you'd think the Magus Sisters would be the hardest fight since there's 3 of them you have to contend with at the same time- along with the fact they're actually smart enough to buff and heal each other as a team.

That moment when you play this game at age 8 beat it then 5 years later learn that there was another version of this with harder bosses 4 years later get a job and managed to get ps4 version and fight these bosses and beat it again

Holy shit Anima did 107,000 damage, he broke the damage limit!! I've never seen that before and never knew you could surpass 99,999

I just find it kind of funny. I just love you watch Anima just snuff out life just like that for most of her attacks, then you see the overdrive. Like it already wipes out people with barely anything, what could the overdrive be, intrigued. Then it's just like, omg, this thing looks horrifying, what is it gonna do?! Then she breaks her chains and punches you a lot. My special move is I'm gonna punch ya! A lot! Oh, can't forget she explodes the place at the end, which does the same amount as one punch. Make the explosion come off underwhelming. Just hilarious.

This was the Pinnacle of and maybe the last great turn-based strategy game

And me trying to get Anima alone, then be surprised by Dark Valefor because I forgot to open the treasure there, the goosebumps I felt at that time to be beaten 1 shot by the weakest Dark Aeon, and I never knew dark aeons existed. And to think that a decade later, I'll be playing the game again,getting my revenge, well except for penance. I want to beat him without Zanmato. But damn I can't beat any one of these with NSG

I really have no idea what they were thinking in making the Magus Sisters the final Aeon instead of Anima....

Got stuck at Dark yojimbo because i can't do more than 3 Zanmato attacks in a row... XD

When I was younger and played this, I never did realize you could switch the party members out, I played IX with who I had in the group and never switched out, would have made this game alot easier if I'd known that

Was Dark Anima accessed by playing a ball game in the original FFX? All the other Dark Aeons basically ambushed and murdered you.

The hp in this game always used to confuse me, I used to watch my twin play it and wondered why it was so high

before fighting the other Dark Aeons, I fricking exploited Dark Yojimbo farming until I got 2 Ribbons worth of Dark Matter. The other 1 Ribbon shield was I got from Omega after resetting over and over again until I got a shield for Tidus or Rikku. It took me 8hrs to finish the whole game then another 3months to 100% complete it.

Let's be real, Rikku's overdrive is so perfect for the dark aeons. I love how she can effortlessly unmake Anima's overpowered efforts. Oh, and f*ck you, Anima. This fight burnt me out on the post-game challenges. I was so done I Zanmato'd Penance. I'm sorry, too much bullsh*t to get through that fight; and to think, I fought Yiazmat from FFXII. Too bad, I looked forward to fighting Penance after decking out my party in FFX-PS2-NA back in the day-too overpowered for that game, but hardly this game. Battle, well played, sir!

That what I dislike the most on FF10, once you get to the stage of farming stats and maxing shit so you actually have some kind of chance nothing matters anymore. Everyone can cast everything and everything does 99.999 damage. No roles to play, because everyone is a jack of all trades.

I actually had to slow down because of how fast you did the Super Elixir mix. Thought you'd cheated and modded it to be 2 potions!

I would have loved to seen your stats, armor, and weapons before or after the battle. The amount of time this took is must have been insane. Just getting ribbon for one character is a feat, nevermind everything after.

Mt Gagazet music is sooo epic

Even at max stats with max HP and 99,999 per hit it took a lot to beat this boss. Imagine playing normal lol. Loved this game when it first came out and played it 2003 exactly 20 years ago. Amazing game. Story, Graphics, and game play top notch. Did not have a chance to fight the dark aeons or Ultimate Weapons in this game and might try it in a few months during the holidays.

I never understood the music choice for this battle. I know some of the smaller aeons use it but Anima is like the pinicle aeon battle. They should have used the Seymour ambition theme from when you fight her the first time.

It's kind of a shame how, despite all of the cool skills and spells you can learn in this game, any optional fights basically boil down to repeatedly using Quick Hit, with an occasional Mix and maybe just a pinch of Dispel and/or Auto-Life.
