The worst thing about this cutscene after playing Endwalker is how Hades is actually disrespecting us by transforming. Makes this scene hit differently in that regard alone.
Always felt that 8:04 is the perfect timing to line up the music with the pillars of light. You just have to make sure they say each word and maybe pause for a second before clicking.
Emet-Selch was such an incredible character... he is by far the best part of shadowbringers, which is one of the best expansions to an mmo period, and probly the best story to a FF in general! love him so much
They make us bond with him over the course of the story so it hits harder when we do have to finally fight him after realizing he did everything he did to save his people, as misguided as it was. He knows what he is doing is wrong, but in the end his reasoning is when the world is perfect again none of what transpired from point A to point B matters, so he willingly commits atrocities to make his dream a reality. He is tragic and his voice actor just brings that tragedy and desperation to life.
@DarkCatfish oh get over yourself lol. It's fantasy, not reality. Don't bring your moral high horse into this, Judgy McJudgerson. In my house we have empathy and love for sad, grumpy old Ancients.
This was my fav moment till the endwalker tie in/venat scene which makes this scene hurt so much more god dammit square whyyyyyy yet so good. We won’t ever see a villain of this scale again imo emet was lighting in a bottle
6:04 gods.. when that music started after spending all night getting through tempest, it was honestly the best moment I've experienced playing this game and made me smile so much
2:18 this is probably a typical moment in anime but this scene reminds me so much of the Super Android 13 scene where everyone keeps attacking Android 13 in vain to help Goku and by the time he gets the chance to attack he's too late. XD I could just imagine Emet's thoughts being like, "Great, the twins are down now kill the Warrior of Li--oh their non-existant Twelve... Now those two are down, back to the Warrior of--damnit! Two more down, BACK TO THE WARRIOR!"
I miss him, even after Endwalker 🥺, he was a good man........even though he's a megalomaniacal madman😂😂. How were you able to make the text boxes in the cutscenes transparent?
Theory: The world was split up into multiple shards, so what if when we visit them in future expansions, we eventually meet an individual similar to Ardbert in each realm that are also fragments of Azem's soul? Perhaps, we will one day have our soul become whole once more, and regain Azem's memories once we consume each of these soul fragments.
@@OmegaGamer04 The Thirteenth's Azem was rescued from the Flood of Darkness. I'll not spoil anything, but you've met them in-game if you've done a certain questline.
I don't remember what Filter or whatever it was anymore, this video was originally just intended to be Shown to a friend, was never planed to blow up so much lmao
Trust me: If i knew in advance that this would get so many views i would've not had Reshade on at all, this was originally just meant to be shown to a friend lmao.
Is a pity that because of the over gearing, new players are never going to experience this fight as it was meant to be. Square seriously need to have a lower cap on items.
@@Spectre92ITA okay, okay, i didn't realize you got a V/A spot in the game. It was actually Oscar-worthy. My heart soared with every awkward pause, flat line of dialogue, and emotionless delivery. Happy now?
