Ngl I think a lot of the people who said MNK needed a ranged attack only said that because they don't know how to utilise Six Sided Star properly. The fact they added a couple does tell me they have some interesting fight designs lined up, but it also kinda worries me a little that they seem to proc off of using Riddles of Wind and Fire. I'll wait until we get more info before making a judgement on that tho

lol, the Pictographer is basically "Okami, but Final Fantasy" XD That said, it's been a REALLY long time since I last looked at FFXIV and this honestly looks very different from what the game was like when I last checked it out. To give you an idea, I last made a serious look at the game a year or two after its release, after that, it was just surface level stuff and music courtesy of the creators I follow / I'm subscribed to. Things still feel like they're kinda all over the place (this is just a me thing that I can't really explain, so don't worry about it, and plus it's not necessarily a bad as I'll explain later), but the increase in class options I'm really loving because that's larger expansion on the world building and lore. Like what kind of region or culture results in some of the weirder classes? What is their history? It makes me imagine the world of FFXIV as being MUCH larger than what is presented and that fills my world-building heart with so much glee. Edit: I started my FF journey with FFVIII, Gunbreaker made me squeal...a bit...internally. And you can't drag the tru-err...you can't make me say anything else otherwise.

The rumor of DRG getting a full rework this expansion were just that, a rumor. What they have done was make a few changes that setup a rework in 8.0 is what Yoshida has said.

Heres Dragoon rework. 5th hit of your combo is now the dragonhead, non postional. Life window can be entered without eyes now so you can open with it and spineshatter is gone. Its basically the same job and barely got reworked XD Also reaper isn't even top 3 of the melee in damage. SAM, NIN and Monk are above reaper :p. It has that FEEL of powerful Also woth viper and whatnot these arnt really meant to show rotations, just to show off the new animations and actions so they just go through all the standard stuff and leave burst things last as that's the big "Wow" factor of a job

There are merch for Job Stones! I don't know if they're gonna restock them but I was able to get PLD, DRK, and WAR! They're really neat and magnetic too! I got them sticking right onto my computer case!

There's no way SMN gets Bahamut ZERO with Dawntrail, I still remember the pain of getting that thing in the original FFVII.

1. The changes, while relatively minor and focused on QoL, are ultimately the foundation for the changes apparently coming towards and at 8.0 . Which will focus heavily on Job identity 2. DRK got a huge W with them fusing Blood Weapon and Delirium. It just cleans up a lot of unneccessary fluff in the DRK rotation Also, not the effect that goes off once Salted Earth goes off. Maybe a signifier they're making the PvE and PvP versions one and the same? 3. Black Mage being able to move their Leylines now means that the ones who still complain really are just dealing with *skill issue* lol 4. Viper easily rivals Reaper for being the most *anime* class. I kinda love it lol

It seems astrologian is getting a rework, given the gauge is completely different I heard they're gonna reduce the button bloat as well. My guess is by using skills more like Continuation that change depending on what state you're in for some combos that you just want to do all in a row.

Gunbreaker is so much fun. We already get the Hypervelocity Continuation for Burst Strike at 90, and doing the whole Gnashing Fang-Continuation-Savage Claw-Continuation-Wicked Talon-Continuation in a single string feels so chunky, and now somewhere before 100, Fated Circle gets a Continuation?! YEAH BABY!

Paladin's atonement spam changes into a 3-hit combo (and a request-a-cat upgrade), Warrior has a fell cleave finisher after 3 fell cleaves during unga bunga, and Dark Knight gets a new 3-hit combo after using delirium instead of spamming bloodspiller, which means every tank is a now a Gunbreaker. Meanwhile, Gunbreaker gets yet ANOTHER 3-hit combo after using bloodfest so it can still gunbreaker harder, I guess. Almost every class had their gapcloser taken away by Yoshi-P for the sake of reducing button bloat during bursts so now they all stole thunderclap from the Monks.

I think talk about balance in FF14 is relevant only to week one clearing groups, as difference between best and worst is around 5 percent. But it was something I too struggled to understand for a while as a WoW refuge who was used to certain specs being looked out of content
