I am actually quite surprised that my standard PS4 can run all of that scene with no FPS drops whatsoever, Square Enix did a really good job optimizing this one considering that the Platinum Demo was bugged with lots of FPS issues during battle

Maybe that is not so bad as it is funny. It's usually been a slew of colorful characters with quirky personalities in past JRPGs who saved the day, so I feel like bringing in a Japanese Boy Band/Team Hot Topic is a step in the opposite direction done right.

Nice to See Summons back to the Old School Summoning Method Where They appear Do Their Badass Attack on your enemy Cause Massive Damage and Leave The Battle That How All Summons should Work in Every FF game This summoning method Give You a Sense that they really are God Like Beings That Come to your aid when You call them
Some people complain that you can't summon them all the time, and can't choose which one to summon.... I think gods tend to not really take too kindly to being told what to do, so I'd say the summon button is more like a heartfelt appeal to them to help you, and they send whoever works best for the occasion.
I feel like I remember an interview somewhere where one of the developers or early reviewer or SOMEONE who had access to the game was like "Don't worry guys, Shiva isn't a pair of sisters this time!" (referencing FFXIII). I feel so trolled XD Also, I find it interesting that within lore of XV Ifrit hates humans so much that he's the one Astral who refuses to fight for Noct. Hell, even Leviathan was made to heel, but even defeating Ifrit wasn't enough to convince him

As much as I hate prequels or sequels, I think XV should have a prequel, explaining the astral war, because that shit was interesting as fuck. Btw why does Bahamut''s eyes kinda look like Nocts'?
+João Antônio I don't think laziness was what motivated them to spend extra money, effort, resources, manpower, and time on animating two-man scenes of escaping up a ledge with realistic struggles that are unique each time they show up.
Zero Bahamut It's not a perfect game, but at the very least it's an amazing one. I took my time to absorb the story and enjoyed it mostly, except for the "silent hill" chapter, if you knew what I mean with that, haha
Zero Bahamut The game is absolutely amazing in my opinion I give it 10 on 10 everything about it is amazing especially the soundtrack but maybe they say bad stuff about it because of chapter 13, chapter 13 felt so long and boring also endless and sad.

Honestly, because i grinded for about 8 hours during the first chapter, all boss fights last less then a minute since my party is so overpowered. Ramuh showed up once during a hunt and that's it.
We know they have conditions, problem is the conditions are ignored by the game. Prompto gets in danger constantly and titan has never shown up, not even once. Very few fights actually happen near bodies of water so that limits Leviathan right away. As a test I chained pulled enemies via summon whistle and never made Leviathan show up (Ramuh did though). Good luck ever seeing Shiva. I did not even know I had Titan until Ramuh started showing up.
That is an excuse for it being badly implemented. Ramuh does not feel like more of a actual character for showing up randomly to nuke some low level scrub monsters but ignoring me when I am being gangbanged by 5 red giants in a dungeon.

Kinda depressing that there are only five-six summons, but it's understandable considering how important to the story they are. Which reminds me, doesn't the Old Wall only have five guardians? I guess it's linked.
I mean, I'm not mad about it. These Summons are fuckin' over-powered. It's just pretty sad because that means the extra content's pretty limited. Compared to pre-13 Final Fantasy games that had secret Summons out the ass, it's sad.
Leviathan boss fight is one of the most epic I've seen in video games! What a pity that the Shiva & Ramuh boss fights were cut out of the final game :/
I notice that the focus is on the summons and the graphical arts which are all amazingly and beautifully done. But does anyone seem to notice that the music is strangely close to skyrim? Either way, the tone fits the scene and I must say the summons definitely feel like summons.
Hey Izuniy! Great video! I have just finished the game and it was superrr great!! Is there anyway to make summons appear a bit more often? I tried to summon them in 15-20 minutes after the game ended in past lucis, but it didn't really happen :( It's great when they appear though.

They mention it in passing. There's a conversation where Prompto asks Noctis if his bloodline magic affects him directly and Noctis confirms that it does - he often feels tired and groggy.
saikeenra This sleepyness only effected Noctis. While fatigue is understandable, there's no confirmation that it happened with King Regis in any scene or any depiction of him, yet we frequently always saw Noctis sleepy/tired.
LASHINGS UK True, but it's also stated that he's both more powerful than his father was at his peak and has worse health (Noct's warping was kind of shot until he was in his mid-teens due to his old injuries, apparently). Guess his sleepiness was partly caused by this as well.
saikeenra Also remember they cut a lot out, it's probably likely they just cut it out - it's in all the trailers, & broterhood but not really in the actual game
i love how Noctus voice breaks when saying "what the hell is you want? Quit screwing with my head!" - its has emotion wit - i love it. it seems like this line was part of the redub of Noctus. ppl were compain by his voice because it was sound flat and older then he was in the english dub. apparently when Ray Chase recored his voice they wasn't sure of the age of the character so they just went with the badass voice instead. but they did a redub of his voice now it has emotional range so he sounds a lot younger then did before.
I couldnt get myself to finish the game so i just keep on grinding. A month later I finished it. Gosh this game and Eos and everything in it. Its so breathtaking, I just dont want to leave it. The best one Ive ever played. This game will have a special place in my heart alongside Dragon Age Trilogy and Mass Effect Trilogy. ♥️
From what I understand, the only ones that can't be summoned outside of script are Shiva and Bahamut. The others have specific requirements, it seems. I think that was on purpose, because rather than it being like any other game where the summons deal a certain amount of damage, they usually completely end the fight.
Xentrolis You can summon Shiva oitside the script, but the probability that she shows up is lower than Titan and Ramuh. Leviatan will only be summoned if there's a big mass of water near.
Really miss the option to summon at your liking. It was one of the coolest things about FF games, and now spending 72 hour playing to see Bahamut once is just crap... Hope FFVII remake is not like this and stays true to the original.
Note: some of the arcana can actually work inside dungeons, I was just now fighting the boss in Balouve Mines when the thunder god appeared, looked confused for a minute then threw his staff deep into the earth. Note sure who all can work in underground areas, just a note for people who have only heard that they only work outdoors.
what lol? so many games got different languages with good lip sycn. and i played it with japanese, but just noticed it when i saw this video. and bad lip sycn can really throw you off when you try to watch something
i dont know ff mechanics. can someone tell me what is this summon? when will you summon them? plus. why they are super big in size? how the f u manage to fight them? and their power is like god tier.
all the summons are gods first off. Seconds summons happen at random, bug have a higher chance of happening when you a close to death/losing or a fight has been going on for a long time. 3rd is you have the powers to fight them, because noct has some pretty insane powers and some other spoiler stuff i don't want to mention.

Definitely. And none of that portable gaming bullshit. It needs to be on console and PC. It took 10 years to get this FF, but Tactics has taken a lot longer.
This is a franchise with the more beautiful a character is…The higher the chance it's actually a guy… I mean look no further for examples with guys like: Sephiroth, Kuja, and Cecil.
