Final Fantasy XV: Exploring Insomnia Hidden Areas (via God Mode) FFXV

Hidden areas in Insomnia that you need God Mode to access after you have beaten Ardyn after Chapter 15 of Final Fantasy 15. This is basically a free-roam of Insomnia in God Mode without needing to add of ROYAL PACK DLC (or part of the Royal Edition). These are places that are inaccessible unless Noctis can fly via God Mode (permanent Armiger). Note that step 3 is actually an exploration from Chapter 15 in God Mode. You can see the penthouse room where Noctis and Stella meet from the cutscene in Final Fantasy XIII 2011 Trailer. See the location where the Magitek Engine crashes on the street. Get a birds-eye view of the hole in the Throne Room where Noctis warps down to fight Ardyn. Get access to the locked areas of the elevator ground floor, room outside the Throne Room, the Throne Room itself, and finally the crystal (StarScourge). Insomnia is so big. Imagine if FFXV started out with Noctis and co fights their way out of the city a la 2013 Trailer. That would've been so epic. Yeah, I know, it's like poking an old wound. But just imagine it for a second.

komami Since Versus XIII, Insomnia is not to be the main event of the game. The game is all about road trip. But they should not treat Insomnia like this man.........the place should play a major role in this game's story.

I e-mailed SE a few times and this was one of my suggestions ,they can add it in...they've made the DLC's for this year ..last one in two months for Ignis. They can add in the cut insomnia gameplay after noctis learns of the invasion. They can see everything, fight the behemoth, his father's body, see the empty crystal room, maybe if Glauca is alive - finish him off, etc. I'd suggested telling people you know to e-mail SE, squeeky wheel gets the greese lol.

Actually, looking at the map, there is a HUGE blank space north of Lestallum, there could be a region there. I get the feeling that Square Enix would put another major city, other than Insomnia.

@@ChungSeikerThatonedude The entire map north of the explorable area of Lucis is blank, and the map we see in the game is cut off. According to Kingsglaive, that entire unseen region is Galahd, and Galahd is NOT the islands east of Insomnia. We should have gotten to explore that region.

Insomnia could have been ffxv's Midgar, a highly interresting, linear starting area with worldbuilding exposition before the open world kicked in!In 20 years maybe my the remake will fullfill ffxv' for my children ;)

The bridge between Hammerhead and Insomnia is right on the map, but you can't even explore that area. Could have at least had a cut scene in CH14 where is shows the party on their way to Insomnia. Could also be a great place to explore with the Regalia F.

Oh now I know. I noticed that after the step 2 you changed to older Noctis and there was no time HUD which means you time traveled to the world of ruin (10 years later). Hence why Insonmia does not disappear when you go closer to it.

I tried going to Insomnia via the bridge using the same method. However, everything disappears when I'm on the last part of the bridge (before entering Insomnia) and I can't proceed or go back since I can't locate the location I'm on. I'm playing PC though. Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

I'd e-mail SE and give suggestions, anything's possible...they're working on Ignis' DLC due for December I believe. They can spend time re-insterting the cut insomnia battle. It'll fit in the story when Noctis hears of the invasion...just hop the fence or something lol.

It will forever bug me that production got very rushy towards the midway and especially towards the end, leaving them to release a largely unfinished game. The rushed ending, the 50% unexplorable and unfinished map, Altissia being only a block or two of total exploration and so many other factors... It's really, really disappointing for such a beautiful game.

Neil Manalo auto save first reload and the save functionality will be back, if you just did the glitch and have no menu go to altissia and ride a gondala

Neil Manalo Save the game manually and power down your console. Then start the game up again - this worked for me when the photo feature disabled itself after performing the glitch!

Latest version, okay but I can't update FFXV to the latest until stuff is fixed, and I guess I'm at version 1.00 or 1.05 idk but you gotta atleast doa guide for that version or help me figure it all out, because you left me with "you have to get armiger at the ledge" which i didnt understand it wouldn't only help me, but everyone who has the same issue :(

One of my fans mentioned you can get God Mode on the balcony, and I believe it works in 1.00. If you can get online to write this then you can update to 1.09, so why are you stuck? If you are stuck currently, I will update the description on 1.00 so that you can provide your input on your situation? OK. Updated the description with your input that God Mode doesn't work in 1.00. Try the balcony trick though and give your input.

This is a year old... But roughly half of the video is in Ch14/15, which is why he's older. It wasn't an automatic trigger or anything like that.

Instead of "A Final Fantasy for new fans" at the title screen, They could've said, A Final Fantasy from Noctis' point of view or something along those lines. Could've saved a lot of fans backlash and confusion.
