Clearly that Nyx overshadowed the Protagonist of the game, that's why he was never even mentioned there.. Sure Noctis is the Hero. But, Ulric is the Real Hero, and we all know that the Real Heroes are never known. Because they do this for the sake of others without the spotlight.. It's kinda' like Ramza Beoulve's treatment of the Final Fantasy Tactics WOL. Nyx: Besides, didn't anyone tell you? Noctis: What? Nyx: I'm the Hero around here!

If you think noctis had it easier or that nyx is more worthy you are simply just not smart enough to understand just how bad noctis had it and fail to realize ultimately he is the one that did what no other king of the luci did before him... But sure, go ahead and dismiss all the achievements, circumstances, and struggles noctis had because Nyx fought against general glauca and saved luna in what was basically 24 hours. @@undernoob2481 I think what most people get ticked off by Noctis is that we watched Nyx gave everything up for the future of his home and his friends we saw the hate of the commoners and soldiers to the royal family where the king compromises the poor and Noctis avoids his responsibility and being a spoiled kid well that was only at the start of the game he really developed at the end and I think his development was better than Nyx, but who loves royal families?
@@Jibin23 the king never compromised the poor. The reason why king regis was so weakened when he fought glauca is because it took a huge toll on his body giving his elite soldiers a fraction of his power on top of maintaining the shield of insomnia. King regis was a hero and to claim he compromised the poor is flat out disgusting to say the least. Also Noctis doesn't avoid responsability at all because he was sent to his destiny without even knowing what that was. I have literally no clue tf you talk about when you say he is avoiding responsability. TBH i actually liked Nyx a lot myself but seeing how delusional Nyx fanboys are i'm slowly starting to actually dislike Nyx a lot to the point I wish that movie didn't exist in spite of being my favorite CGI movie.
This is exactly how I felt overall. As someone who has enjoyed FFXV for the first eight chapters of its story, I started noticing plot holes in regards to Kingsglaive--Nyx Ulric's legacy especially. It's one of those things where one's actions should influence that of another character, particularly Noctis of all people. Just imagine having Noctis hear about this one guy who faithfully stood by and fought alongside his father during the time of his demise as well as risk his life so that his important friend can make it out of the city unharmed. Imagine the amount of gratitude Noctis would have shown towards Nyx as he slowly matures realizing how much was lost but how much was gained in the end. If Noctis knew of what Nyx had done in Kingsglaive aka Episode Ulric aka Chapter 0 in some alternate timeline where we were able to play as Nyx Ulric, he wouldn't have denied the Ring of the Lucii like he did in later chapters. He'd be willing to do what's right for the sake of that very man who tried his damndest to save what was left of his home. I also don't like how the game ended because of Nyx's final words: "Rule well, Young King." It completely ignores the entire point of Nyx's arc. Nyx died wishing for Noctis to lead the country of Lucis to a brighter tomorrow. The fact that Noctis died completely destroys every bit of what Nyx was fighting for. I know that Noct saved the world and all but I really wanted him to live and carry out the man's final wish. It grinds my gears. I just hope in the near future, Final Fantasy XV gets that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn kind of treatment where they rebuild the game from scratch and actually follow a consistent story with less plot holes and don't write things as if they're making shit up on the spot. I feel like Kingsglaive was a mere afterthought.

I'm glad I found your video. I only watch the movie btw ... honestly many times just to admire Nyx Ulric's heroic deeds I love Nyx Ulric as a character so much that I cried so hard that he died in the end... and every other rewatch. (Yes, I like to cry for a character that's deserving of tears in the stead of the many people that he saved) I prayed that Lady Lunafreya would honor his wish and to find out that she didn't. I am mad. :) He deserved so much after what he did in that world. he literally thinks that his life is nothing and that's so sad. :(( “My life is nothing. 1 year later, Lol I don't know if anyone else here has mentioned it , but No one ever tells Libertus that Nyx died......he's still to this day waiting for Nyx to return to him. So while he was given Nyx's legacy, by others, no one tells him his friend is also dead. idk why he dosen't know.. or How he didn't put 2 and 2 together but yeah..
I think he already knows that every ring wielders other than royal bloods gonna turn into dust. Still, his hopes of meeting Nyx once more does hurts me.
I have to totally agree. When I watched the movie and immediately fell in love with it because of Nyx😍. Only to find out that he dies in the end😭. In all honesty it would been better if the Kings of the Lucian's had actually spared his life that way he would escort Luna to Altissia. Where is after word he would join up Noctis and the others. 🥰

Nyx and Luna had more chemistry, noctis and Luna might as well be pen pals.. P.s. And he is mentioned by ignis in the ignis episode when he puts on the ring to fight ardyn to save noctis, I just watched it today and Nyx is clearly the favorite for me.
Agreed with everything you said. I think the problem lies with the fact two different teams worked on these two things (one for the movie, one for the game) and apparently they didn't bother to communicate very much. Regardless, they still could have fixed this with the updates and dlc they did with the game. The fact they don't even say his actual name is such a disappointment.
Instant sub ma boy. If you ask me who my favourite character is in the FFXV universe, every-single-time, I will say, that it is Nyx Ulric. The man behind the curtain much like Zack from VII but Square just decided to fuck this because we're done with it anyway. Glad someone made a video addressing this. He does however appear to be a damn good unit on FFBE but that doesn't do justice on his character in his own universe.

It's a bit late but, yeah, exactly that. Just one little thing: Noctis knows exactly who Nyx is. There's a novel to the movie and in that Nyx had to drive Noctis to the Citadel after he was done packing his stuff in his apartment. ^^
If you see this a little secret in game I don't know if it's well know at this point but at the end of the game when u return to ruined insomnia if you take some time to look around u can find and kill and certain deamon and it will drop a pair of really good dual daggers called ulrich's kukris and they are modeled exactly like they are in the movie

Is quite sad how they Treat Nyx. The guy is the true honorable hero and even a better protagonist than Noctis and i really wish they give him at least a decent spotlight and respect for his character in the main game, but well i understand why the game didn't mention Nyx because it will overshadow Noctis
Really loved Kingsglaive, the voice actor for Libertus had a really bad American accent though, you could tell he was a Brit. f All in all I felt there was so much more that needed to be explained and that they should have added some episodes to the actual game to give better clarity and a deeper understanding of the characters from that movie, maybe even show what really happened to Crowe. Hell, Zack from FF7 got a whole game dedicated to him (Yeah I know it’s FF7 and no others will ever have the same legacy). But no.... all we get is one piss poor, half assed, kinda but not really, reference from Ignis and HE survives too! That fking four eyed fkkk! Ignis is still one of my fav characters in the game though. Lol

luan doesn't give luna his regards because Luan freaking dies before they even get to have a face to face conversation. If luna didn't die she would've likely told him about nyx but she died there were far more important things for luna to do than tell noctis on u see this guy saved me but he died so that's done and over with. Nyx is not mentioned in the game because it makes no sense for him to be mentioned. He was a grunt just another kingsglaive member nothing special. Also why would she write it in the book .... get over it dude. Nyx wasn't important enough to be mentioned ahead of other things >_> and clearly if Ignis knew about nyx it was supposed to be known but maybe not known by name. Nyx was a grunt who happened to be brave and loyal but there's too much stuff going around for him to be raised a statue >_>
