I think Afra should be in niche category. She's a good tank but her usefulness is more on PVP. Most of the top players in other servers (JP, CN, KR) uses her more than Leangle as PVP in the future is more about UR vs UR. Once her sequence coins are available in shop, I'll start building her.
The only thing I would say is like some others said some of the R level units are very useful early game and even Jasmine becomes great once she gets her CM. Also, I think Cynthia is better than you’re giving her credit for she’s consistently been my top DPS since I built her. Her High Gear does a ton of damage and her basic attacks get splash damage as well, the speed of her reload and burst are second to none in the bomber dps category and are up there with the top shooters as well. Further she doesn’t have to be close to do her most damage unlike say Blade who you need to bring a shield for Cynthia allows for a more varied team comp. Just one man’s opinion of course. Great list overall and glad that someone is putting out content for this game.
Hey Dcell, I just watched your video and although I do agree with over 90% of your tier ranking, I do have so say... you completely forgot about an extremely great support character, in fact one of my favorite supports Chalice. I would also like to say that I do think your under rating Viorate as my maxed out Erosion Viorate does competes neck and neck with my maxed Nova. The key to Viorate is to stack attack and attack rate so that her damage over time is up nonstop and hitting hard, then toss an erosion chip and a Fanatic chip on her and your done. Now back to my girl Chalice, couple her with an Erosion Viorate that has a debuff up nonstop.... My girl Chalice will not only increase the whole teams health but because she will always be attacking a debuffed enemy, it will trigger her skill 3 and skill 4 much faster and easier. Also because she will always be hitting a debuffed enemy skill 3 at lvl5 every hit will give a 30% chance to boost all teammates crit damage by 20% for 5secs stacking 3 times, and skill 4 lvl5 every hit recovers all teammates health equal to 1.5% of Chalice's health once every 2secs. Chalice starts off with a lot of HP but stacking health as her main stat and accuracy and hit rate its VERY beneficial as it makes her heal often and heals heal for more, not only that but in early stages and even some of mid game she can be used as a full on meat shield tank with an Energy Shield chip and Energy Shell chip or Troubleshooter chip, Anomaly Safeguard System chip lol. I do still use Chalice, in most cases its the support that I will put with my Erosion Viorate and Nova as she can increase Novas HP and heal Nova just enough to keep her alive in a lot of fights. one of my favorite team builds includes Viorate, Nova, Chalice and Solveig, all maxed out. I still kick myself for missing out on Leangle, I didnt get her mech because I had just started playing and didnt yet understand how things worked. I also kick myself for not getting Motoko.
It’s pretty funny that half the godly units are F2P units XD Also little side note to boost Tayshia’s dps boost her attack speed she has the highest in the game apparently
i think u forgot about eggy&peggy and britany for support and Lollar and bathory for dps. they are good "R" unit for early since u can max them easily thanks to shadow of corbero event. i mean most sr/ssr pilot need to be 5 star to work properly, and 6 star "R" pilot have higher stat than 3 star SR/SSR this just my opinion
this is a fair point, and I'll likely re-evaluate more R type units based on their early to mid game potential, as well as their ease of leveling due to the shadow of corbero.
Yeah she needs a fair bit of hand-holding. Healer support and shielding (from units like Leangle, Solveig, etc.) makes a big difference and a Troubleshooter chip as well goes a long way with her
it literally takes 0 effort to make her work, you don't even have to skill up her HG, it comes with the 100% damage buff at level 1, all you need is some levels, a small amount of talents (for survivability), and a high energy recharge weapon.
Thanks for the list ! I had no idea I actually recruited 2 God tier pilots ! I got Nova and Calamus.... But the sad part is I cannot get their Custom Mechs ☹️ Sigh..... without their mechs their as good as useless compared to ones that do from what I can tell so far of this game.
Very unfortunate, but I'm sure both will eventually get reruns, and we will likely be getting another very good striker within the next couple months that can help take calamus spot on your team.

Though I'm already workin on Blade but something new and useful is always welcomed heheh 😃 On a side note this game is kinda odd compared to other gacha games I've played before in that I actually feel disappointed when summoning really rare characters. I mean you literally get a crippled character right out of the box that can't even compete against the free units and to make it worse you can't "fix" that crippled status til an event shows up. Ah well, I like mechs so I'll be sticking to this for some time but I really wished the devs gave an option to farm custom mechs for really rare pilots that you recruited/summoned.
I understand that feeling, and I think the game doesn't do a good job explaining how important CMs are to their Pilots. To me the game needs to put more effort in explaining that, so you understand that the CMs are really apart of the pilot, not just "extra equipment". In general, i think the 18k crystal mark to get a SSR to 5* and 10 talent floor (with sequence coins) is a fair price point actually, and pretty generous in that regards. Even a completely ftp player should be able to hit that about every 6 week if they're active every day.

yes, their custom mechs are obtained through the recruitment banners that accompany the pilot, so if you missed leangle for example, while its still possible to get the pilot (very rare), you will have to wait for a rerun of the banner to get the mech suit.
this just my opinion. Asuka (beast of flame) is really good, her base stat very high, good damage, free pilot, and high gear has DOT. the only thing that make her bad was her lack mobility, i mean asuka role was a vanguard, and her costum mech make her cant atk and run at the same time and since she cant atk and run at the same time(its make her like a punching bag), since she cant run and atk at the same tine harder to refresh her DOT (u need to hit to refresh and its has a short duration). if u re new, dont slack to build her, with 5 star 0 lv talent, lv 60 she can clear hero stage in important instance. and lastly her damage higher then viorate so shes a good starter pilot until u get a blade or other tier 0 or whatever it is its true that calamus is godly, but shes not that great in national war - before the strom boss. she need 1min + to deal a masive damage. I duuno about other player. but for me, its harder ssr and sr are equally difficult to build, maybe because I only do pilot recruitment and rarely gacha in certain banners
Mirabelle has PVE uses. if the boss is like the boss in Amane's tower event where killing the boss spawns another form, Mirabelle's high gear prevents the boss from coming back in the new form, making fights shorter
