The Nederland's guy has seriosly collided with tatami and got shock for the rest of the fight. How could he not see oshi-barai coming from opponent's back leg? Also, that warning system doesn't seem fair.

Totally, he's (NED) not as active as he was after the knockdown and acted weird till the end. No doubt, the last takedown by IRI was amazing.

And this is the problem with WKO type rules. In true Ippon kumite, the match should have been over after Red was down from the mawashi geri and gyaku-zuki and awarded Ippon. There is no way he would have gotten back up to fight in the real world. This is what traditional karate was suppose to achieve in the fast and precise fighting. This is why the action is stopped so quickly when any grappling starts to take place. The purpose is to refine the striking skills to the point where the quick and decisive blow is perfected while minimizing the physical harm to the fighters. After a technical knock out as we saw here, the chance greatly increases for a serious concussion or brain bleed by letting the fighter continue after such a blow. As we saw, Red never really fully recovered and thus the ending we witnessed.

Nicole Scott Young we have them because we kick hard and punch hard you can’t see on screen but if you were going to fight in karate you’d get hurt.

No doubt that Mehdizadeh has skill. But for him to celebrate like that during a match is disrespectful. I hate how the WKF is turning into MMA or even worse WWE.

Are you kidding me !! can you refer me any other karate match that the winner has not done the same? I do believe Vice versa, The winner´is reaction was very respectful and polite..
