you have a lot of options, pick an open ending you enjoy the most and pretend it goes on the way you want it to. this game has a dozen different endings because there is no real ending. make your own up the same way they made theirs. even though that isn't definitive it's certainly more enjoyable

@@starbreeze7249 the only ending in which V can be happy with Judy is limited to about 6 months of life. this here is the only one where V survives with certainty and in just 2 years nearly everyone overcomes her absence more than well, even after everything she has done for these people. she's weakened for the rest of her life and an easy target against anyone who still want's revenge. let's be honest: none of the endings in cyberpunk are really options, these two deserve. that's probably what really makes me sad. even in a game you can't escape from reality and in the end, no matter what you do, even with the best intentions, you will always lose.

@@reece42069 This ending really puts into perspective why CDPR dropped the armour through clothing mechanic. The best vests only add 25armour. I guess it really shows how outclassed you are in this future with no implants.

@@reece42069 they can’t even put in self ice or have kiroshi anymore dude. Someone could fry their brains. V would be gonked to go out at all. Even regular citizens of night city have cyberware, even the poorest of the poor. Not to mention if anything ever goes wrong, such as losing a limb or lung, v is practically dead because they can’t withstand a replacement.

well CDPR is down to make this game a disappointment on every level, bothmeta and ingame. It's like they're hellbent on giving the players the middle finger. I get Panam being an immature child since that is what she already was in the main storybut everyone else... It's... inconsistent to say the least. You risked your life for all these people yet they act is they don't owe you anything.

@@JasonToddEatsCrowbars i gotta really agree on everything you just said. It all just feels like a slap in the face. A lot of people keep saying “well at least V gets to live” but for what tho? Cyberpunk has shown on every level that nothing you do will matter in the grand scheme of things. Just look at the other characters and those who remain in NC. It turns to shit for everybody and to the point where some get wise and leave. With the nomad ending V may only get 6 months but they leave with a new family and people who care and walks away from NC as arguably the best merc to ever live. Think about it just taking down Adam smasher alone would put in the same category if not higher than Morgan blackhand. But my final thoughts with this is i can take all this for what it is no problem. But if this is what cyberpunk will amount to for all the hopelessness then i really don’t see a point to returning to NC in a sequel game. New character or not it’ll just be another story with the same no real light at the end of the tunnel ending. Just my opinion tho.

Its not to say V can't have a good life but it'll be even harder to have to start from scratch yet again. All I'm saying is Night city is a dead end all around. As I said I'm glad V does get to walk away and find a new life but simple losing everything they fought so hard for even the simplest of things is just gone.

@@sillylittlesheepjax6009 More than that, the Nomad ending is the only one where V truly learns and takes to heart the final lesson of Night City: that the only way to win is not to play. As I see it, NC itself is the true main villain of the game, and by leaving, the Nomad ending is the only one in which you manage to defeat it.

Actually.... The true ending of the expansion was a bit different. There was a huge leak last year and i got my hands on it, there was no FIA clinic, V received help from songbird's chip as he/she was going to a arasaka space clinic for operation, just like in normal ending. After that V got cured and was offered a job for arasaka or you could just leave to go back to night city if i remember correctly.

Be just like that in real life too. Theres no true love nowdays and sadly for some resaon they brought up that same shit to the game too. Knowing V and Judy did get to know V,we know she aint a person to ever leave someone without saying a reason to why. She goes in unplanned coma for 2 years and wolla nothing suprising,people cant live without sex/love even for a year or two and just end up going with someone else. Typical shit and terrible ending for this game.

The truly harsh reality of this world is that the word moves on without us. We played a pivotal role in many of these character’s lives in NC, but after 2 years of being a memory, and then arriving again, we’re hit with the reality that we didn’t really stand a chance. Our freedom came at a cost… The friends we made along the way.

I'm still trying to get over what she did to her hair. Like, she killed all the texture in it, it's horrifying.

Live a Quiet Life and die old, unremarkable, and smelling of urine or go out in a Blaze of Glory that'd be remembered for decades to come without ever seeing your thirtieth? Yeah, I think we can tell which one they choose.

"The star" ending is hands down the best ending for V imo,they might only have 6 months to live but at least they can be with their loved ones and leave the hell that is night city.

V was her bounce back after Evelyn, and her wife is a bounce back for V. Also it’s been two years since V disappeared not the timeline for when Judy’s wedding happened. She could have gotten married to that person after 3 months from what we know.

I think It's because the Langley clinic and all this operation is totally classified, and the NUSA would never let people know about this place or the people inside. That's why, when you can inform V's friends that she's leaving the city, you have the option to say that "you can't tell much" Even if V asked, they would never let people of Night City communicates with anyone posted in Langley. But I admit, It would have been cool if we had the possibility of Reed to contact our friend during our coma if we chose the good dialog options with him during PL. I love and hate this ending so much. Love it because It's so realistic and that's a real conclusion to V's problem with the relic. But I hate it because I just felt more and more like a pile of shit as the cinematic goes. What a brilliant writing this game has

I'd understand this type of 'moving on' ending If they'd thought that V ghosted them for some reason, but these two factors make it impossible to think so in the 1st place. Seems like CDPR just didn't care about writing in DLC.

@sofaericsson6392 One of the earliest quests you do with Judy is helping her search for a friend who dropped off the radar. Funny how she doesn't do the same for you and just wanders off to rebound-fuck some other broad like she did with you. Her opening up to you wasn't a healing process. She just used you to feel secure with someone. With this ending, CDPR have retroactively turned Judy into exactly the toxic, needy, emotionally unstable wreck that gaslighting dickwaffle Maiko Maeda tried to paint her as. People don't seem to get how this ending's added context has utterly destroyed these once fantastic characters.

Best ending with things left up in the air if V survives or not but if he/she doesn't then they are at least happy for their remaining time. This new ending does have the potential for V to be happy eventually, but it has to be from scratch and as a normal person pretty much.

Yeh I've made my headcanon that V & Judy find a way to survive through Panam & the Aldecaldo's connects in Europe. Maybe we still get in a coma, can't be ourself again but we retire or become a fixer. But we're still at least happy and alive with Judy & our friends.

At this point yeah, I’m happy they finally updated the game, but they completely ignore the number one complaint everyone had from all of the endings which is now pretty obvious hear. This ending sucks and honestly it’s just…rushed at this point wtf, so many implications. Starting to think CDPR didn’t give much of a thought process on how much this ending would suck for everyone.

it's one of the reasons it is not a popular universe setting, similar to grimdark, and another that slips my mind. no reader or viewer wants to devote their time to a story they know has no shot at a happy ending because it makes the journey feel wasted. it doesn't make it a bad story, but when your genre creates constraints on how you can write your stories end, it's a bit lame, and you know it's lame because there is no "real" ending. you could write 50 different endings, all ends the same, all meant to conflict with one another. moral of the story is it was two people that died and should be dead having a brief shot of living, so bromance it out with silverhand and die a legend

I actually think that her not being mad is the problem for me here. Like, I would have expected some kind of emotional response. I'm trying to imagine how I'd respond if a loved one disappeared and then showed up again after 2 years. Angry, sad, happy, confused? Maybe all at the same time? But smthg at least... this just felt lacking, like she does not care. "How you doing buddy? Thought you were dead, but no biggie. So you gonna live? Neat." Makes me sad 😐

She did turn her back on V after everything she did for her, Judy knew V was dying and just for once, when V decides to put herself first, Judy just turns her back on V and decides move on without even trying to find out what really happened to her. Where is that Judy who went out of her way for Evelyn? The one who found a way to change the chip of the dolls so that they fight better than V to finish off clouds. This ending makes you think that V was in love with someone who never existed.. 💔

At this point only two good endings are Stars and leaving with the Adecaldo’s, Stars is bittersweet but there’s a chance V can survive or get uploaded into a clone, other hand there could be a chance Panam will eventually find a cure for V, being forced to turn normal in Cyberpunk basically is a death sentence in this game with how much they treat normies poorly. So yeah….this sucks sadly…I actually hate it.

Its implied that she completely shut down, so if you try and talk to her, there will be no response. In the ending, Mitch says not to call again because it "took her a long time to get back to her old self"

Why would he need chrome? It's not like he's disabled. He's just normal healthy NPC living in the world like everyone else. Like Vic and Misty. Yet they don't have so many chips in them.

@@SeriousDragonify In the Lore of Cyberpunk or should i say V’s Lore, V is known to be the best Merc in NC and V got used to using a lot of powerful chrome/implants because of the Relic and Johnny, this gave V the possibility to use more and more powerful chrome without Cyberpsychosis. Chrome became part of his identity basically. He was able to do the most dangerous and difficult thing that any people can’t do. Like fighting adam smasher solo, attacking the arasaka tower by himself, going behind the Blackwall ect… So V becoming a random civilian that can’t even defend himself in 99% of the situations he was dealing with in the past is the most depressing part. V was known as the best Merc in NC like i said and as Rogue said in the Prologue of the new ending, she basically said that because of his 2 year coma he became a legend "because people thought V was dead". After that Rogue said that V can comeback visit her to the Afterlife but if she comes back too much, her Legend statue will disappear because people will notice obviously. So thats 1 part of why V is depressed, because if V tries to comeback to the Merc life again well he cannot because his status in NC was known as the best and most dangerous Merc in NC and if V comes back with the inability to put combat implants, he will die instantly + the Legend status will degrade. On top of all that V lost basically everbody, you said that Misty and Vik were still here but if im not mistaking, Misty said she was leaving "could be wrong " and also in the new Prologue some corpo people wants Vik to move out from his shop. So this is why i think it’s considered one of the worst ending for the character, because V loses everything and can’t do anything anymore Lorewise. V lost all of it…. Thats why he looks depressed and lost at the end. And thats why imo i considered it one of the worst endings. So to respond to your question, yes V needs chrome, thats his whole identity in the entire game. Without it, nothing that he did would of happened without his powerful force. But don’t forget that its also the Relic and johnny that gave him the possibility to do all that. Now one last thing, V survived, but at what cost…

This ending simply makes no sense. There is no way that Judy wouldn't go out of her way for V just as she did with Evelyn. V is always going to hell and back for everyone and for once that she decides to put herself first then everyone turns their backs on her? That's extremely fucked up.

💔My cyberpunk was played on PS4 an half way through the story I became so close to Judy that it was like yeah I have to live for her so we can be happy I fully convinced myself that I was doing all of the killing no one but myself then you got David Johnny So mi an your character V all have same fate the only ending I'm ok with is V an Judy Ride with the nomads but kinda wish it was perfect crazy man when you see these endings can tell So mi was suffering to .💔

I agree. She wants V to stay away because she knows damn well she'd leave her wife for V. She doesn't want to risk it cause she's afraid.

It's bittersweet. Like most of the other endings (Except the suicide and Arasaka endings which are outright Downers). V lives, has a chance to start over, still has a few paths available. But most of their friends have moved on, and V can't use most of their Cybernetics.

The best ending in the game is still the Aldecaldo ending. Every ending except for this, suicide, and the Arasaka ending leave things ambiguous. I like to imagine that V lived happily as either a legend of night city or Aldecaldo member. Cyberpunk stories don’t often have good endings, so being an Aldecaldo is as good as it gets

@@Mr-Rinn In what galaxy The Sun is a "bittersweet"? It's full downer, for me in pairs with the Devil. I cannot decide which one is worse. Tone of people dies in Rogue's bombing raid and station deorbiting. V dies soon, but before becomes the pawn for the Blue Eyes, and it's implied this guy is not to be trusted. Rogue dies. V is completely broken as evidenced by his bitter talk with the Blue Eyes. And V either grit teeth in space because of pain or because he is that angsty against all this shit. Love interests leave you meaning you die alone.

@@secondaryfront You can avoid Rogue's death if you and Johnny are close enough that he suggests a suicidal attack, which if you win triggers the Sun ending with Rogue alive. And I don't think the Space Station is being destroyed, I thought that job was a heist.
