Have you played alto full built on 70+ difficulty? Saying it's difficult is an understatement.

Aalto has good numbers on paper but he has the same problem as Chixia, namely being single target only. Except Chixia straight up deals more damage, especially with high sequences. The only scenario where he can really match Chixia is against Tempest Mephis where Chixia has a harder time due to not being able to use her skill much. His biggest issue is a lack of good teammates. I’d bring him up to C tier since he can still clear hard content if well invested, but no matter what role you put him in, there is always a better option.

​​​For lower skilled players (the majority), the taunts can dramatically increase their dps. For the MLG pros who can do full rotations while parrying, then it doesnt matter.

True, my Aalto out dps my Calcharo lol. He's Mid air Atk is double than whay Mortefi and Chixia have at Level 10 , which is quite busted with his S3. You don't need Forte guage or Energy to abuse it, just stamina which is quite plenty in this game.

The boss mob in toa has 600k effective hit points, to barely 3 star you need 7000dps/ second, if you factor in rotation downtime, you would need 12k per second, none of the characters available right now can do that at lvl 80 in the 4th chamber for a 3 star clear, it's math

@@midwestairway I'm curious which "math" are you referring to? Because even a level 70 Encore teams can easily 3 star clear 4th chamber. You'll be surprised how much tighter rotations results on a higher DPS output. If you are following "genshin" type of rotation, then sure you won't really get a full star clear. This is Wuthering Waves. Try to explore how you can abuse the actual "quickswaps" where you can always weave in your third character in between your rotations.

That's a nice list, might gonna talk on two units I find fun to use and would put on my own list (if it's alright with you) Aalto B I can agree, maybe a B+ because the issue is using him is holding back for some people is his playstyle of run and gun and using his mist portal and mist dash be confusing. An S0 Aalto is alright and can deal decent as sub dps and not much of main dps, though he is awesome to play him as a dps. Also his copies are good, except his S6 which is niche, a good increase in Crit 8% is fine, just the other half ain't much used and I hope/wish gun users get their own special heavy attack and separate the aim toggle respectively. Yuanwu for me in 1.0 I'd say C rather than B because currently there isn't many DEF main gauntlets for him to use (only one decent is locked on the battle pass), not to mention he is probably a high investment unit to build because Yuanwu lvl 90 is actually on par with Jiyan on lvl 90 due to DEF increases more than ATK the higher you level and Yuanwu benefits that, it's just gonna be a long while before he can climb since players ain't reaching Union levels high, though it's slowly coming soon for some, probably needs dmg scaling buff in the early levels

Do you run her with Discord (concerto broadblade)? I’ve tried running this team but even with the setup you described she needs either 2 skills or a few extra basics for full concerto.

@@Alecajuice Nope, I saddly don't have this broadblade, the only times I need to do some more NAs is when her forte combo miss some of the hits (which is pretty often saddly)

I started to play the game mostly to main him, i love him so much, and even if his dps Sucks i can still get better supports for him in the future, and I'll use him as long as he can clear the content, like alloy smelt or endgame one

Before in CBT, if you swap cancelled off and back to a character before their lingering animation finished, you could maintain outro buffs that they had previously picked up. Now, the outro buffs fall off as soon as you swap out. Since a lot of Calcharo's optimal combos involve a lot of swap canceling back and forth, he was among those hit hardest by the nerf.

Honestly, if you're not interested in Calcharo, more Encore is always a nice pick. The other pick would be Genshin (Jianxin) for a mini-grouper support.

I wish I got Jianxin instead of Calcharo. Encore is way better than Calcharo in ease of play and team flexibility so good choice tbh.

I was the idiot who picked calcharo. Now with jinhsi I wished I would have picked jianxin since i desperately need a third healer (or defense support in general) for the tower

Jianxin groupong Is godly for Encore... Btw as a Encore main i agree that Is extremely uncomfortable play Encore It Is night impossible parry auto aim sucks sometimes She Attacks in vain it is difficult hit multiple enemies Inferno Rider Is uncomfortable to use and actually hit all enemies near and optimize her Is heavy(Quick swap, Dodge while resonance liberation and correct forte use timing). I have Chalcaro in second team his damage output Is a joke but was almost brain dead gameplay compared Encore.

Ngl other than the auto aim that sucks, encore is probably easier to play with how much more freedom you have. Calcharo without his ult is a slow character because of his animation and his forte taking so long to get ik its only 3 skill casts but the animation take so slow for me. Encore without ult works really well in quickswap with her skill being able to Even charge other characters forte EX. Encore skill to verina skill to charge her heals for the next rotation. Plus encore ult is just calcharo's ult but faster attacks. The only thing calcharo wins at is the ability to parry Not saying calcharo sucks no one should play him just stating my opinion as a encore main. (Yinlin did more for my encore than calcharo did😭)

I said it before Yinlin, and I'll say it again: Calcharo is weaker than some free DPS characters like Chixia or Havoc Rover. Many people have clung to the idea of "Yinlin + Calcharo synergy" and how "insane his DPS is going to be," but he was and still is trash. Chixia easily out-DPSes him, so she is always one tier above Calcharo. Calcharo being in B tier is on point.

Most people have skill issue hence why. For Calchoro, u want to swap cancel with your sub dps alot of time with precise timing and rotation. He is better than encore if you know how to play him.

If you have another team wwhere encore/jiyan/havoc rover is the main dps with their best buffer + similar echo investment, you have to play calcharo really good just for him to keep up not even be much better than the other 3 dps. Calcharo is even harder to keep up with normal player's skill level. Especially when you are fighting a mobile boss like heron/mourning aix, it is just hard for the average player to always do 3 death messengers while timing it on yinlins outro buff just to essentially again keep up with other dps on the same investment. Calcharo is definitely fun, and I really like to play him quick swap but you have to admit, compared to other DPS, he is much harder to play with little rewards (keeping up as opposed to being better). If calcharo is your most invested team, I truly understand your take but unless you have another team with similar investment, it's hard to have this current conclusion of yours. But please let me know how you disagree, because I like calcharo's playstyle as well but with an unbiased view I just cannot agree with your take above

Haha. My UL is 57 and my LY is S3 with maxed 5 star standard weapon. This game is not about soloing enemies y'all 😂. Read skills of other characters and just abuse their outro skills with fast concerto swapping. There are 4 star weapon to help with that too. Not to mention echoes that buff the next resonator haha. The screen time of my non dps are just 4 to 5 seconds each rotation then 12 seconds for LY with zero downtime on liberation and 50k outro damage. If you abuse the quick rotation mechanics of this game, ever character turns into a beast. That's why tier lists are irrelevant. You're welcome. Feel free to cope all you want though 😂😂

I think it's due to him not being able to output his max damage (or even close to it) while fighting against lots of mobs or aggressive bosses as you'll have to dodge and lose chunks of his ult duration

Her main dpses suck, that's all. It's the same situation in hsr where Ruan Mei and Gallagher went up a tier since firefly already got released.

She can literally be good in any team comp even if they don't directly benefit from her outro because her as a stand alone character is so strong. You can't put a character like that in A tier. Ruan Mei went from T0.5 to T0 after firefly, which would be like A+ to S. He should have either made more tiers or seperated it by role. Yinlin being a whole tier below these 4 characters make zero sense even if he thinks Calcharo is mid which he isn't and I don't even like him. She's the most flexible unit in the game apart from verina and is damn near universally useful. Calcharo Yinlin is also still a VERY strong team regaurdless of the outro nerf, so idk why people are pretending it isn't just because Calcharo's playstyle gives it a high skill floor. Her kit itself is just S tier. Jinshi, new DPS just released and Yinlin is already her BiS teammate. Im aware this tier list isn't counting that but it should have been quite obvious how good she is.

Encore is op. I do have yinlins weapon. But she is op. I do constant 2-3.8k 16k echo hits. Numbers doesn't seem so high, but her attacks are super fast.

Matches my preferences exactly. Encore is in my best team and, in general, in all my teams (farming, etc.). Yinlin, not so much. Encore is goated and if you cant see that maybe you havent really given her a try.

@@newshortskhow am I wrong the main difference between them is that euphonia only buffs one character for 15% instead of the whole team for 20%. The rest of their buffs are the same. I’m not saying Baizhi is S tier but she’s at least A and definitely not low tier.

@@AbzuLifeweaver I realy like Baizhi as character, but I hate Euphonia with passion. When you intro with another character, it is very hard to find and pick-up Euphonia during chaotic fight withou losing time. That mechanic should be redone ASAP.

@@AbzuLifeweaverBaizhi takes up way more field time than Verina, and her outro buff only works on the currently onfield character, so stuff like Mortefi ult will not get the buff. You have to waste time to interrupt your rotation just to go pick up the feather, too. For the amount of field time she wastes I would rather just use Jianxin to just ult, echo and gtfo.

I don't know how you can even stand using Baizhi if you've ever used Verina. Much longer field time, worse buffs & they only apply to 1 character lol
